I just googled the resurrection air fern and found out that it is a weed which they are trying to eradicate in parts of Australia and has devastating our rain forests. So I won't be adding this one to my garden. love Barb
Wow, it is doing great. I hope it grows really well for you. Love Chris
IT's always amazing to see something that is so well known by we who live in the South and find out there are others out there who have never heard of them. I really enjoy seeing some one like something new to them, especially something like this.
Yep, they are amazing. Glad you got yourself one Carolyn.. Now you know why they cal them resurrection plants. They look totally dead when you first get them.
Remember if it looks dead, it may just be dormant again. Wait and offer humidity.
That is amazing! I wonder how much humidity it needs and if it would survive here. I heard of air ferns before. I like them because you do not need to water them.
Very common here in the South. When you see pictures of old Live Oak trees (think humid port cities like Savannah, Charleston, Mobile, New Orleans) Resurrection fern is often growing all over the trees. I brought a piece from where I grew up and tossed it on the dirt here and it "took". It is a meaningful part of our belief in resurrection.
Wow, what a sight...I don't believe I have seen anything like it before...Leave it to you to find something like this!
That is a super interesting plant!! Great gift for someone too.
Definitely amazing and magical! And your doily is beautiful!
Bonjour c'est stupéfiant!
je n'y croyais pas vraiment.

Amazing. It is so much fun to discover something new.
Carolyn, green fingers, or perfect clean crisp air, or your lovely warm home. I think you are on a winner, interested to see how big it will grow.
I do not know if Amazing or Magic but it is really surprising!
Love the Doily too - Hugs
