I would like to ask for prayers. My SIL is in the Ukraine right now. He left the US to see his father who is ill a couple weeks ago. Shortly after arriving he had some kind of food poisoning or something from the water. I hear there is a water crisis all over the country. He then had heart problems. I am second generation Ukraine on my father's side and my daughter was born the day Chernobyl blew. I feel a connection to this country. He is a wonderful man and I pray he comes home soon. Also Christie is arriving on Monday! This is her 5th annual visit and I am so excited! We used to call cars that would misbehave only when with the owners' "lemons". I have 2 lemon embroidery machines. In preparation of Christie's arrival, I took both to the dealer. While at the store one of the managers checked them out since it takes a month to get through service. Both stitched fine. I bring them home and the same old same old. Classic! I am half tempted to get a brand new

machine! I really shouldn't, but... but I get so frustrated and I only want to stitch. Thank you for being here. Christine

I know what you mean about a lemon. Had my machine in for service 8 times in about 5 months and finally decided to trade it in on a new machine in another brand. The person my repair guy sold it to had it quickly back to repair twice, and guess what he did? Sent it back to Brother and they gave her a different one. Now that made me mad.

I hope your SIL's situation is fixed quickly and that you can thoroughly enjoy your visit with Christie.

I will update when I hear something. I can understand completely. I had issue with my 4500 and called corporate. They picked it up and the dealer had to pay. I was livid. I have since sold that machine, and am thinking of selling these 2. I wish i could do a 10 needle, but with my luck, I wo

It must be such a ordeal to have your son in law so ill and not being sure what is going on! I'll be praying for your son in law and all those who care for him. I hope your machines stop acting up and behave themselves.

Sorry to hear about your son in law...hope he recovers and can come home soon...Also sorry to hear about the problems with your two machines...Hope you get it sorted out before Christie arrives. I have been lucky with both of my Baby Lock machines...and when I did encounter a problem with my Ellisimo, my dealer sent it back to Baby Lock and gave me another Ellisimo for the entire time it was gone. I have had my 10 needle Valiant for 18 months and it runs like a dream. I have never regretted the decision to move up to a 10 needle machine...what a difference it makes!

I wish I could do a 10 needle. I priced them out the brother version of the valiant was $17,000. Too rich for my blood, unless a windfall happens, I need to consider the brother 6 x 10 that with firmware can do 8 x 8.

Will definitely be in my prayers. Are the dealers using the same needles and thread you use? Same stabilizer, same fabric?. Sometimes these can make a difference. Years ago same thing happened to me. They were using different thread on the bobbin. I switched bobbin thread and had no more problems between home and dealer.

My closet Cutie friend is having huge issues with her two machines and has decided that she is buying a new one this year. We are so lucky with our dealer who is a 3 hour journey one way, if I'm in his direction the machine is marked priority and will be mended before I return. Some machines have a memory to play up and sorry you appear to own 2 of them.

Sorry I realise I haven't said I hope your son in law is home soon and he and his father have improved health

This dealer is 30 minutes away which is too far for me! I am so much a homebody. Christie has her own recliner here that only fits her, when she is not here it is full of vinyl and projects. I need an update on my SIL. Thank you for your prayers and support.

My heart goes out to you. very scary for the person and their loved ones when one is sick away from home. That's awful about your 2 machines both being lemons. But I know you and Christie will have a delightful visit. Maybe you and Christie will be able to figure out what is going on with our machines.

I am counting on a great visit. Not as much work this year as last as I am not up for that run, but happily I have good things for us planned. If the weather improves. Thank you for prayers for Sasha, I know there will be movement now that the Cuties are on it.

Your SIL will be prayed for. It is already bad to be sick, but if you are away from home is is double misery. Hope you get your machine issues straightened out.

Thank you Angie. Every year is different. last year I worked on 8 sets, 4 were published and picked up which paid for her ticket. Not so sure about this year. Thank you for your prayers for Sasha.
