This is a wonderful thing to do and really makes a difference to the girls and ladies that receive these kits. My girls and I have made similar kits for Days for Girls in Australia. They have a particular pattern they prefer and certain fabric prints are not allowed due to cultural beliefs. On their "sewing days" there are always people needed that don't sew to help with cutting, adding snaps, threading ribbon and packing up kits. There are plenty of things to do even for kids.
