I just purchased 3 files (my first purchases) . I have a Bernina 730e. When I try to access the files from the USB that I copied the files to, I get the message"please save your current motif Your embroidery computer memory has nearly reached its limit. Switch your embroidery computer off and on again to continue." Turning the machine off and on does nothing. The files are on a USB so they aren't taking up room on the computer system. When I contacted my Bernina dealer they suggested that the files have something else in them so that the computer can't read them. I can access the other files on the USB, just not these. I also noticed that there were no additional files with these such as color charts and PDF files. There are usually other files when I've purchased from other sites. I really, really want to be able to use one of these files for a gift for my granddaughter. Please help.

I have a Bernina machine and I know that having too many files on the USB can cause trouble.

Hi and welcome. I have no knowledge of Bernina embroidery machines but I do know that when I use a USB on my Brother PR650 that it works best when I only have a few designs on the USB. I keep the bulk of my designs on my computer, I also use a external hard drive and assorted USB's for storing designs. Are the designs that your having problems with the most recent purchases? Please let us know if you have solved the problem otherwise I will bring your question back up to the top for a few days so hopefully you get the answer you are seeking. Also do you have embroidery softwear and if the answer is yes have you checked the designs that are causing problems to see they are the size they say they are?

She may be downloading designs that are too big for her hoop or they need to be turned around. Miss V always puts the design sizes listing Width x Height.

Also make sure that the design is not any bigger then your embroidery field on your machine. This is your maximum size and you may have to turn a design to make it fit.

I do not have a Bernina, but I do know that there are a few different .art formats...not sure if the one you downloaded is compatible with your machine (?)... Also, the color charts are not included in the format download or zip file. You will need to go to the design page and click on the color charts and save it to your computer. There should be a .Jpg option to download the image in the area where you download the format file...Hopefully one of our other Cuties or a Moderator will come along soon with more information about the Bernina format etc...
Welcome to Cute! I am sure your problem can and will be resolved.

Thank you. I have one other file from another site that gives me the same message. I had a little trouble on this site figuring out how to download the format I wanted so maybe I'll try again. It also didn't download in a zip file, which I find odd. Hopefully, I don't have to pay again. I'll look for the color charts.

The design will be in your download folder. Most designs here are not in zip files and come ready to use, unless they are in a set. Make sure your USB doesn't have too many files to read. Too many files will cause errors from your embroidery machine. Some errors concern the embroidery machine's memory. Let us know if you've got it figured out.
