Hello Cuties, I haven't posted in a long time because I've not been embroidering... I haven't updated my Embird program and they locked me out of using it!!! I think it's dumb..... ANY way I wanted to wish all my Cute friends a very happy holiday season and send to each of you my best wishes for a very happy and fun 2019... Hugs Dolly

I have never heard of Embird locking anybody out. If you have your password you can use any version except where there has been a paid upgrade after the version you bought. Updates are always free.

I will definitely contact Embird for a solution and the past three upgrades have cost $39+, not free!! Enjoy the season, Dolly

Updates are free!! Upgrades are not and it is the same for some other softwares as well.. I have used Embird since version 6 - a lot of years years ago!!If you check out the FAQ page you will find that is true:

Hi Dolly, good to see you. I hope you and your family have a lovely holiday season wherever you are. I use Floriani's software, and while it is initially expensive, there is no dongle, and you never pay for an update or an upgrade. Have had my program for 7 or 8 years and am thrilled with it still! I think you can still download a dummy program to try out (can't save). Don't forget us here!

Happy Holidays to you and yours also!! I was sewing up a storm and my machine revolted. I had to send it out to be cleaned and oiled. It is back now and I am finishing up m Christmas things. Such is life. I will get through it all.

Happy Holidays to you as well, Dolly. I have never heard of Embird locking out anyone before...I hope you will try to contact to see if they will rectify the situation. Did they notify you prior to locking you out that they would if you did not upgrade? Not clear on how they would do that as Embird does not require the internet to operate...Hope you get it squared away....
