UPDATE: They ate last night and used the litterboxes, woo hoo! They only cry now when we go downstairs into their room, so for now we are keeping visits short. OMG....remember I told you that we were going to try to bring in Parfait & Buster (Jif, Skip & Cassie's little bro & sis)....well, I did it....yippee! I got Buster this morning, I scruffed him and carried him down to their new kitty apt. in ghe basement...I got some minor scratches as he went ballistic just as Jim opened the door to their room. He has cried most of the day and of course we can't handle him, so just went down and sat with him off & on. I knew I would not be able to get Parfait like I got Buster, so I got out a big rubbdermaid container and sat it outside all day with the lid off tothe side.....she finally showed up about 9 tonight, I went out to make her think I was going to feed her and I petted her, then quickly scruffed her, placed her inthe container, threw the lid on it and Jim carried her down to her brother...it sure quieted him down. I was so excited I was shaking......now we just need to be patient and slow in our approach. Yea!

Good for you Vicki, Hats off to you and your family. I have always been a Cat lover and have had a few when I lived away from the kids but now my oldest daughter is the reason I cannot have a feline she is so highly allergic to them she winds up in hosp unable to breathe, this has happened more than once. Needless to say I cannot have any cats around because she is my mainstay, living right by me. Don't know what I would do without her. I do miss having a kitten to snuggle with though. Cannot even pet one at someone else's home because she will start sneezing and coughing if I see her before clothes are changed and a bath taken. I grew up with a myriad of cats, There was always a litter being born on my Grandad's farm out in the barn and we would spend hrs playing with them.

Do any of you other cat loves watch Jackson Galaxy? I love his show, My Cat From Hell. You can learn a whole lot about cat behaviors from this show. He helps some pretty upset kitties and makes them good pets.

Wow, that is just a hard thing to accomplish! I hope it works for you. I always love your kitty names!

Hurray! I'm sure you will have them settled in and part of the family before you know it. They will have your other cats as role models once they no longer have to be segregated. Bless you for the care you give them.

We adopted two kittens on Sunday. They were supposedly born in August and snatched up in October. They now go between the master bathroom and bedroom. They will let us pet them, purr and kneed. They also freak out when the leave the bedroom. They hid a lot. Yesterday I found some toys from our previous cats that they seem to like. Progress is slow and steady.

You did it once, you can do it again. Are they as small as Jif, skip and cassie?

I got Jack by scooping him up and taking him through the house to my bedroom and dropping him on a new piece of fleece. He has been inside everynight(mostly) for the last 20 plus years. I was told when we took him to be neutered that he was already snipped and 1 1/2 years old. He looked like he was 6 months old. then he blew up into a cat within months! Oh the memories.

Great Job!! It is always so difficult to convince them that it is so much better inside with food and warmth. Just patience will win them over with love. I have done it so many times.
We just got in two little ones who are scrappy. Won't take me to long to tame them. Always a challenge but a great reward at the end. Keep up the great work you do! They will trust again and be so much happier and healthier. HUGS Suzanne

Wow. A whole bunch of excitement. I do not know much about cats except that it takes a while to have them get used to each other. Is that what the kitty apartment place is for? I know you will succeed with all the love you have for your 4 legged friends.
