This morning I did 2 loads of washing,(one of towels & another of clothes ) 4 hrs later they were dried. It is the middle of winter here & most of the last 3 weeks the temperatures have been 20 -25 C.The whole of the NSW has been drought declared .

After seeing & reading about the heatwaves & bushfires in the northern hemisphere this year ,I dread to think about what the summer will be like here.

I feel so bad for the animals in drought ridden countries like Australia (during winter). Western US is on fire and parts of the east coast is flooding. The effects around the world should be a wake up call to all people. Humans need to find a new way to do things. Our planet is not disposable.

I was surprised to see that Alaska had bush fires.

Today at Speers Point Park (a local park) a gentleman had a truck that was loaded with donations of all sorts of things for our farmers who are in dire straits. Water is being carted into starving cattle and sheep and as Judy said NSW has been declared drought ridden. The problem is that it's taken TOO long for government to act and the people have taken it upon themselves to help. It's great to see.
I definitely think that Mother nature is unhappy and climate change is happening all over the world. Love Chris

They are our normal summer temperatures! However, for 6 weeks or so we have had nearer 30C and no rain. Crops are harvested now, but with much lower yields than usual. Animals which should be eating grass in the fields are having to be fed hay and silage. Luckily, we had one of the wettest winters ever so the reservoirs are not dangerously low.
Worldwide, weather has gone crazy and yet some still say that global warming isn't happening.

Politicians seem to be the ones who don't believe in global warming.
It nearly rained every day in June but hardly any since.A few nights ago there was heavy raindrops on the roof which lasted about 30 seconds.

A bit scary thinking about Summer and what to expect.
Maybe they should let the livestock graze in the National Parks and reduce the grass and feel the animals?

That would be great.. BUT then you'll have the greenies or some other group whingeing about any damage they might do.. No Win situation.

That would be better than the back burning ,which at times gets out of control & the smoke that floats a long way away
from the back burning site
