Just saw this. Congratulations on the Ruby Royal! I have heard it is wonderful! Get sewing and embroidering my friend! Love, Suzanna
Sweet! So happy it has finally arrived...can't wait to see what you do with "her"
Thanks Kim, me too! I want to make a handbag, but I've been so busy recently babysitting the family as kids have had ballet exams, aerobics championships and sport generally. I've also been doing a Youth Group on a Sunday afternoon and had to go do a Special Ministry training day for lay people last Saturday. Thankfully Trevor is flat out working too so it's all working out well. We've also had all the windows replaced in the front of the house and one back one and I've got a guy coming here in about an hour to give us a quote on Plantation Shutters. Can't wait! I also want to get a Skylight in the kitchen. The days are full! Love Chris
How Fun! A new machine for creating all your ideas. Don't you just love the smell of a new machine!
Hi Jan, yes, it's got such a crisp clean smell. Something akin to a new car! Love Chris
How awesome. I love my Ruby! Couldn't wait to get it out and start playing. Had to wait 3 weeks for the lessons. Couldn't believe that some of the women in the class hadn't even played with it. Go figure. Have lots of fun with your new machine.
Oh! that's great to know someone on here as it too. I'm so looking forward to seeing what it can do. Love Chris
Oh so proud for you Chris. Can't wait to see the awesome things you turn out. Love you!
Thanks Miss Lillian. I'm hoping to be making a new handbag, I've got the pattern and the fabric, just need to get the machine set up. Love you too! Love Chris
P.S. Hope you are doing o.k.
How fun, Chris...…….must feel like Christmas!! Enjoy!
How much fun you are probably having!! Congrats on the new baby. Do you have a name for her yet? Hugs. Nan W
Hi Nan, no I haven't as yet. Because Ophelie's middle name is Ruby, I think I'll just stay with that as it is a Ruby Royale! Love Chris
Congratulations on a new baby. Leave lots of room for the big hoop and enjoy all the new things you can make with it. There is nothing more exciting and intimidating than a new machine. :)
I hear ya on that! It's going to be sitting on my Horn sewing cabinet, so I hope she will be fine there! Love Chris
Happy for you. Have a great time digging in to new learnings and projects.
After the Designer1 the Ruby was easy to use although there are a number of differences. I guess the Ruby Royal will be equally easy. Just unpack and get going!
The larger frame will take up more space than you are used to. I don't use the largest often so yesterday it bumped into some cones of thread.
No harm done as I was only using the placement arrows at the time.
Have hours and hours of stitching fun with it!!
Thanks so much Martine for your input. I'm looking forward to having some fun with this machine. I had years of fun with the Designer1. Love Chris
I skipped the lesson and got an extra discount.
I especially love the placement feature. Nothing beats connecting in the software, but if you have to combine split designs this feature works wonders.
Have fun.If it is anything like the machine I bought a few months ago ,you'll need another free afternoon to unpack it & set it up. So much packaging,at least the boxes were given to GD who should be moving into her new house at the end of the year. Also you might have to rearrange your sewing room to fit it in.
Hi Judy, the Husqvarna will sit on the sewing table where the Brother is at the moment and then I'll put the Brother back on the cutting table where it sat before. So I don't need to rearrange the sewing room. Love Chris
Congratulations on the arrival of your new baby. You will have so much fun and hope you have many joyful years of stitching. Hugs and blessings, Barba
Thanks so much Barba. I hope it will be similar to the Husqvarna Designer 1 which I previously owned. Love Chris
