My sister lives in Tumby Bay near Port Lincoln South Australia. Charles her partner who is 83 and Jewls 63 sailed their yacht QASAR overv to Adelaide. Now the sail should have only taken a couple of days. Apparently there were dreadful storms etc. and it took nearly a week as they had to pull into shore at night. They have arrived safely in Adelaide and QASAR is now in the slips having her bottom scraped and will be de fouled. I know Jewls had a pretty rough time as Charles is getting a bit past it. I think she needs a holiday and Mum said she is wanting to come up here. The last time she was here was at Christmas and of course we were in Europe, so I haven’t seen her for a couple of years. I hope she can come up. In the meantime she’s catching up with friends and saw her oldest friend this week. Good times for her. I don’t think she’s looking forward to the sail back home. I’m hoping someone will come along with her to help. I need prayers for a safe sail back into calm waters. The cat and dog go everywhere with them!!!!! Love Chris

1. QASAR in the slips.
2. Ashka the German shepherd dog (on board the yacht) the cat Poushka was below deck!

I don't want to be in a big ship during a storm. I can't imagine what all Jewls and Charles went through. Glad they made it ok even tho the yacht has to have repairs. I hope you get to spend time with Jewls while she is this much closer.

Thanks Toogie, but she is still thousands of miles away away from us. I'm hoping she'll get to come up sometime later this year. Love Chris

I'm glad they made it safely through the storms. And now hopefully, they will be able to spend some time with you. I know it isn't easy to have loved ones so far away. I'll be praying for a safe journey back.

No, sorry Karen they are nearly a couple of thousand miles away in South Australia. Adelaide is the capital of South Australia and Trevor,me and my Mum and our families live in Newcastle, New South Wales on the east coast of Australia. Thanks for your prayers. I hope they have a safe journey back too. Love Chris

Yes, she is Kim and I do hope she can get up here. They've been together for about 25 years, engaged, but never married. We all refer to him as an old Salt/Sailor. Love Chris

P.S. That's Charles on the top of the yacht. Jewls is on the left and Annette is on the right in the black printed top. Love Chris
