I am so thankful that my one and only DGS has grown to a fine young man having outgrown his medical problems. I pray that Gussie's parents find a doctor with an answer. May God Bless him.
I pray so too, Helen. He threw up here tonight and my oldest grand daughter (18) and her friend were here. She had never seen him like that and it upset them to know its been going on for months.
Ah, sounds like you and Mary were two peas in a pod - kind, helpful, and smart! I know you will miss her! Praying for Gus and his doctors.
My 10 year old GD has had digestive issues most of her life. Recently after a fainting spell, she has decided to try "clean" eating, with no dairy, to see if it will help her. Never been able to diagnosis anything for her either.
It is heart wrenching to hear with all the medical knowledge they can't find a reason for it. He threw up tonight here about an hour and a half after we ate....
Dear Toogie, i'm so sorry what you and your family have to go through, my thoughts are with you and your family,
hugs,
Gabi
Thank you Gabi, it's little Gus we feel so bad for. You know he's too little to tell us anything, so we are relying on the test and doctors....
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. And little Gus having problems also!! Will add him to the prayer list. And you as well with everything that you have going on right now. Hugs
SO sorry for the loss of your friend Mary. Continued prayers for your family and for Gus....poor little guy.
I am very sorry about your friend Mary. I hope that the doctors will soon find out what the problem is with Gus. Thinking of you Toogie.
I'm sorry to read you lost a dear friend Mary. And I pray that Gussy will get well again, praying the doctors will find what's wrong, so he can start healing. Hugs and prayers are coming your way, keep the faith and hope.
I am hoping, but when I picked him up tonight, I can feel he is smaller around. It just breaks my heart and mom and dad are trying, but no relief or answers yet.
Just saw this Toogie - I am happy you told us about little Gus and also the sadness of losing a dear friend. Of course Gus, you and your family will be added to my prayers. Both of these pictures are lovely - each show kindness and love. Please let us know how Gus is doing! Hugs and love, Laura
He threw up here after eating his evening meal. None of his food was digested. I know he must be tired of being sick and also worry that he may be hungry after throwing up so much.
Oh, toogie, I'm so very sorry to hear about Gussy. I know how helpless you must feel when a child is so very sick and the doctors don't seem to have a clue as to what is wrong, let alone how to help the little one. Gus is at the top of my prayer list and I'm praying that the doctors will sort things out quickly and have Gussy well again and growing strong and catching up to his cousin.
I am also so sorry for your loss of your friend. She sounds like a remarkable woman. And I pray you will find peace and strength while you go through all this, Hugs and prayers. Deb
I am so sorry to hear of Gus's problems. This is very similar to what my great grandbaby is going through. Change formula, tests, anything they can think of. I pray for your family and all the babies who suffer.
God be with the medical staff and show them the way, and comfort us who pray.
Hugs
Doreen
When my oldest grandson was born, he started pretty soon after birth projectile vomiting. It was called Pyloric Stenosis. He had surgery to correct it but had problems growing up with his stomach. He is a big guy now so eventually it got better.....
Oh Toogie so very sorry for the poor little guy. And also his family as they have so much on their plate already. I pray for all them but all for the drs to find out what the issue is and get him on the road to wellness. Hugs. Nan W
Toogie, I had one like that. they tried her on every kind of formula, goats milk soy milk had just come out and she had that also. They had me giving her beef broth. everything but no tests were ever done on her. she is 57 soon be 58. This went on for several yrs. Later they had me feeding her away from the others all alone. I would have to give her a little white pill dissolved in tsp of water 30 mins prior to feeding her. She finally outgrew all of this but to this day has had stomach issues. Eats very small meals and stays very very slim. She married and had 2 children and has done well, but we have never known why all the stomach issues. Some Drs. said. Nerves but guess well never know. I do hope Gus will soon be better. He is now in my prayers.
You will miss Mary I know, but you will also see her again one day. It is so hard to lose those we love. Much love to you
Oh Ms. Lillian I appreciate you telling us about your daughter. It is encouraging to know she is a grown woman now. I sure wish they could have found out her issues, though and do still hope they find out Gus's, before he loses any more weight.
It is so good to see you often on Cute again. How are you doing? Is the leg/knee giving you trouble still and do you do therapy?
So Sorry for the loss of your friend. Praying for little Gus ( He is such a cute fellow), and for your family and his Doctors as they are trying to find what is wrong with him.
Thank you very much. Are you new here? I am sorry for not recognizing your name.
I will be saying prayers for Gus, that all gets better.
Thank you and I am assumming you're new, so welcome to cute. So many newbies and that's good!
Toogie, I will put Gus straight to the top of the prayer list (youngest first). So sorry to read of all this and hope that they can figure it out soon and get him back on track. Also, praying for these two parents - so hard to hand your baby over to doctors and nurses for tests and procedures. Praying for you, dear, in this and in the loss of your friend.
Thanks Betsey, I know lives have their ups and downs but sure hate to see the babies sick.
My heart aches for little Gussy to be going through all this at such a young tender age. I pray for a resolve to his throwing up. Please God, heal this precious baby. I am so sorry for your loss of Mary. She sounds and looks like such a wonderful lady. Hugs and prayers, Barba
She was all that, Barba, thank you. I will let Cuties know when and if there is an answer to Gus's problem.
Sorry to hear about little Gus. I will add him in my prayers.I hope the doctors can find out what is causing him to throw up and loose weight. have my DH home now but he still has to go back or more tests. Hopefully he is on the road to recovery. Sorry to hear about Mary. She sounded like a lovely lady. A big Hug from me as I know a hug helps. Shirley
Thanks for the warmth of your hug, Shirley. I should be holding you as I know you're having a time with your hubby.
I got interrupted earlier, someone came in.
Please do remember Gus and hopefully an answer will come next week, of cause and remedy. Hope your DH gets answers, as well, and makes a complete recovery.
Oh, Toogie! I'm so very, very sorry. I know that you must be beside yourselves with worry over little Gus. My prayers are that his problems are discovered and remedied in a short time. He's so adorable and looks so much like your beautiful daughter.
I can't imagine how your heart misses your friend Mary. That picture of her looks like she had a kind heart shining through those compassionate eyes. Praying for you. Remember to smile when you think of her and the "Someday" that you will be with her again.
I was hesitant about sharing, as I didn't want to add to your concerns. You have had your own share to deal with, as of late. How was he today?
Mary was a good example of Christ-like love. She always listened, with real interest, to whatever anyone had to share. Mary, two other ladies, and myself met at I-Hop one day for lunch. I was so glad to see Dori again, one of the ladies, at Mary's funeral and to get her contact number. Mary was the go-between for all of us.
Surely soon, we can learn Gus's problem. I sure hope so. I kept him the day of Avery's 'race', at the school for the blind and deaf, at the state capitol. I missed it, to keep Gus, as it was a 2 hour drive one way and didn't know if he would throw up in the truck. She got a first, second and third place award!
Oh! dear Toogie, I am so sorry to read about Gus. I pray that the medical professionals will soon find out what is causing his health issues. You are such a wonderful person and have had to deal with so much. I'm sorry too about your friend Mary and I empathise with you. I lost my best friend at the age of 58 just 7 years ago.
As rescuer has said may you feel the love of us all at this time - hugs to you my friend and I'll certainly place Gus, you and your family on my daily prayers. Love Chris
I remember when you lost your friend. Isn't she the reason you don't color your hair anymore? We know where our friends are, but we still miss them.Mary only had one child a daughter. Desi is giving birth in a couple weeks to Mary's first grand baby. Everyone was hoping Mary would live to see it born.
I guess too I'm sad today because, I was so hoping the doctor could give Gus some relief and us some answers. Poor baby, but kids are so amazing. He still plays and tries to act normal, until he throws up and then he lays around. I hope someone can find the cause and help him....
Yes, Toogie, she was my best friend and was the reason why I don't colour my hair. I do so pray that Gus will get some relief, it's always hard seeing our kids sick. Love Chris
So sad to hear about both Gus and Mary...I hope the doctors are able to finally figure out what is at the root of his problem...and so sad that you have lost a friend...she was lovely.
I can't say enough good about Mary, but you're right, she was lovely, inside and out.
Soon maybe we will get answers, if the biopsies show anything, we should know Tuesday when he sees the specialist again.
Hugs, as I am sure you will need one or two. Love, since you are so kind to all -- it is easy to love you. Prayers, not just because you asked or because you have prayed so much for so many -- it is the right thing to do. May you feel the love from Cuties around the world and may you find comfort. May God bless that Cute little boy!
Thank you rescuer. Cuties always lift each other up and I guess I have been more worried than I realized about Gus. I needed a booster shot of hugs and love-lol-Just one of those days, most men don't understand, when all you need is a big cry and a hug.
Added Gussy to my prayer list. It is so very hard to see little ones suffering.
I am sorry to hear about your friend. From your description and others she must have been a great person. Sadly God took her far to soon.
Mary and I met through our daughters. They thought we needed to meet and we were so glad, when we did. Her obit said she was born in 1961, so yes, she was too young.........
Yes, thank you to remember Gus in prayer. Soon, maybe soon, we will know something .
