Jumper.

After the combined thin yarns which I knitted by hand, I wanted to use the knitting machine using a 'normal' hand knitting yarn. So I went through my stash and found some blue and white leftovers and a ball of red (100 gr) of Bergelle100. In 2006 I knitted two Breton jumpers for my grandsons, 4 and 2 years old at the time, see pict #3.
I weighed the yarn, divided it in two and started the front and back. Weighed the remainder, started at the top of the sleeves and thought I would not have enough red left but maybe doing some white stripes there as well I might just make it. It was a bit nerve racking, but it turned out I'd calculated rather well - see picture #2 for what is left after I sewed the seams.
Picture #1 shows the completed jumper.

It's gorgeous Martine. The neatness of the knitting machine is amazing. I love the blue jumper too and your name tag on the back. Well done. I am in awe of your knitting skills both manual and by knitting machine. Love Chris

P.S. Wish we had sound, you should hear the rain it's bucketing down - vertical and the birds are chirping away madly.

Thank you, Chris. Stocking stitch is so easy on the machine a child can do it (one of my granddaughters once did at the age of 3). I still have not added the ribbing part (so I did the ribbing by hand) as it is far more difficult to correct a dropped stitch let alone the whole project - and I managed to do that twice.

As for the wheather - after a couple of glorious days of sun and 26C we had overcast skies and a bit of rain and 16C yesterday. Solar panels went from 24 kW to a meagre 9. Today looks slightly better

Ha, ha. You did calculate right, but I am sure you held your breath the whole time. They turned out great and another stash item turned into finished projects. Well done.
