Wow! Mops knows every thing. I have one of these some where. great idea to keep the chips in.
Cute little bag. Looks close to the tee pee bags. I like this one how it opens up to get to the items in it. Happy Stitching =)
Toogie you are amazing! Thanks so much for the pics as they are just what I need. Hugs to you. Nan W
Mops is the amazing one. I would have never figured this one out-lol
I know noah/Carolyn said once, she is a visual person. She needs to 'see' how something is done, sometimes. So, I figured some other Cuties may be like that too. Hope you try one and show us!
I also wanted to say any size square folded to a half square should work, but don't go too small, or smaller than mops's 9 inch. I should post a photo, with it in my hand, of the finished size I made so you can judge the size.
Also, it takes a long zipper since you are only using one side of the zipper length along the diagonal. I had a 24 inch zipper but cut off a few inches, so you could use smaller.I think at least a 20 inch would do well, for the 12 1/2 inch sq. You don't want to cut it exactly even with your corner, until the pull is on, as your tape may fray some when you're reinserting the pull.
Nice work Toogie. Glad you made pictures.
Those small purses start with something simple, like a strip or a square, otherwise they would be too fiddly. The pyramide one two squares (or a rectangle) and a normal zip and the trick is stitching the fourth side.
The single zipper tape made me think strip but folding a rectangle meant cutting away a lot of material, it left a triangle. so it was obvious I had to start with a HST and then it was easy.
The hardest part for me was getting the zipper pull back on. I was doing it wrong though. I was trying to back it on, holding my two ends. After about an hour of trying to get it on and thinking this is too much sugar for the candy, so to speak, I finally got it on and saw that the pull was inserted wrong, hence the photo with red writing. When I headed it on, toward the folded corner, it took about 5 minutes to get it on track. The right way was easy, so there is hope of me making more-lol-I was thinking it wasn't worth all this trouble but I was doing the zipper pull wrong.
I did go get a napkin as you suggested and when I followed your directions, I was amazed. I thought how simple is it when you know how. I don't think I would have figured this one out mops, so all credit goes to you. You're one smart cookie! Thanks from me and the rest of the Cuties.
Thankyou Toogie for the instructions, perfect.
Are you a sewing teacher ? Janette
Not at all Janette, but I l am always willing to help, like most Cuties. Show us all if you get one made. It's so good when someone actually make something, from your instructions.
That's a great way of doing it. I've also got that one I sent you from The Crafty Gemini. I'm sure there will be lots of these little purses made now Toogie. Great job Martine! Love Chris
Martine did do excellent in explaining. These all are great little bags ant the link you gave makes what Sick calls a teepee bag, which is cute itself. Thanks again for all your help.
Wonderful. I have been searching the internet to figure it out This was so nice of you two to do. Thank you.
My part was easy, Martine was the generous one with her talent and brains! Now let's see yours!
Cuties working together. How awesome is that. Thank you for all the efforts.
Wonderful - great directions and pictures!! Thanks bunches Toogie and Martine!!! Hugs, Laura
I'm glad Mops figured it out. She did all the hard work and now we all get to play.
