You have done a very good job with the embroidery and the men of the church will be very pleased.
I had the same problem with Windows 7 dying in my computer. last year. My son has been lucky to get a pre-loved hard disk (it had belonged to a quilter!) with Windows 7 already installed and working, and compatible with my computer. I had to install all the programs I needed and copy all the files I needed . It still has been a nuisance but I was so happy when everything was back to normal :-) I wish you the best, my friend!
Hugs, Lidia
thanks all the windows we try won't work yet ****i will be going to the city Wed, and i will buy one***hugs
You can make your own recovery disc ,once you have started up your new computer. It has been a few years since this happened to us ,so I have forgotten how but it was easy & took nearly a hour.
Instruction books don't have much info these days but someone should be able to tell you how.
Some laptops do not have cd dvd drives anymore. They are the very thin light weight laptops.
If you can still do it, burn everything you want from the old computer onto dvds for later.Starting the computer in safe mode might let you do this,if it won't start normally.
Good luck ,this happens eventually to everyone
Oh Noah! I hope the new Win10 will be compatible with your software. Ifound out mine wasn't when support for XP was stopped, and I rushed out to replace it. So rather than buy new software, I bought instead, a used Win7. I really hate win19, but eventually will have to move over due to support for 7 going away. It is so frustrating, but I would gladly accept the hassle of transfer if XP would come back. Best luck!!
That design is gorgeous Carolyn, I know your men from church will love them and I hope you get all the computer glitzes fixed, bummer!
I feel your pain as this happened to us last year. We're all o.k. now, but it's such a hassle having to redo everything. God bless, love Chris
Nice work on the T shirt Carolyn, I do hope you can get sorted with the computer. Not an easy time, so frustrating, I am sure you have ALL backed up and it should be easier for your son to transfer .
Great work on the T shirts. Hope all goes well with the new computer.
I hate the hassle of installing a new operating system, and reinstalling updates for the software I use, but I won't let my children touch my computer - not even the IT-specialist. 8.1 works for me on this laptop, my notebook runs on Windows 10. Using two different systems keeps your brain alert, fingers are otherwise reaching for the wrong keys.
Success!!
Lovely design!
Good luck! I'm always afraid, when my children (adult) fix something at my PC. But up to now, everything worked
Nice work, your son will fix the computer problem, the young people allways know, what to do, so all will go nicely.
That is beautiful, Carolyn! We will all be praying for your switchover to the new computer. I know its very scary and extremely frustrating... Hugs and Flowers!
Love it, Carolyn and know your church members will too......
Nice work. Thanks for reminding me to make a back up. I hope you get everything worked out soon.
Beautiful design. Stitch out is beautiful. Sorry to hear about computer problems. Computers are such a big part of our lives now, but so frustrating when they don't work. I feel your pain. I had to switch computers before Christmas. I am still trying to get everything transferred over and organized. Good luck!.
I know this feeling. Struggle your way through the computer mess and back to your sweet stitching machine. So sorry.
