Each year at Thanksgiving, we, as a family go to a small German style community called Frankenmuth, Michigan. It is always festive with lights and music. I always have a surprise craft ready for us to use as a centerpiece for our table (even the guys must participate.) This last year is was foam balls covered with tacks. I was worried the craft would take too long to keep everyone's attention! But, we had fun talking and joking as we finished them. Here was the results.... Thanks for looking!! Hugs, Laura

It has become a tradition - I just love that the guys look forward to participating too!!

Oh I love Frankenmuth and the Christmas store. Haven't been in several years. Will have to convince my husband to take me this year. I could spend all day there, but him not so much. Love your craft idea and having everyone participate.

We spend 4 days there!!! We shop, eat, take in a move, shop, play games, do a craft - and did I say eat!!! We rented a house so our entire family could stay together - it was great!! Thanks!!

One year we painted wine glasses to look like pumpkins - the guys really liked that one for some reason!! It is a fun tradition! thanks!

You are right about talking! When we were in Singapore I took a picture on the train and everyone on the side opposite us was on their mobile phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It made Trevor and me smile and we said the same thing, no-one talks to anyone anymore!

Besides my DH, we have 3 sons and a son-in-law (plus a daughter and a daughter-in-law and grandchildren). The guys right now outnumber (not for long!!). The guys always ask if we are going to have a craft and what will we be doing? They are always ready and waiting!! Thanks!!
