Hi everyone, I am thinking of making a carry-bag for my new Laptop computer. Has anyone ever tried to do this. Obviously it will not be an 'embroidery' project, but more of a sewing challenge. opinions welcome.Thank you

I designed and made a carrier for my small laptop computer using bonded vinyl. It is lined, has an interior divider and has an embroidered design (significant to me) on the flap . I also made a carry pouch for the power cord using a modified zippered pencil case using the same vinyl. It took me longer to make sure the measurements were correct than it did to actually produce the final product!

this sounds very clever of you. I am sure it would have been a success and thank you for answering my post.

It would be very easy to add embroidery to the pocket or reverse side!

thank you, I will look at the link before I decide if I could make one, or indeed would it be a successful challenge!

It is not something I have ever bothered to do. My laptop is heavy and I wouldn't like to rely on one I had made to give it the protection it deserves. It wouldn't be difficult to make a messenger style bag as a custom fit though.

Yes, tend to agree with you. I really just want to make a bag to use until I get to the city in a couple of months. Sometimes it can be a nuisance living so far from the madding crowds!

Most of my shopping comes by post or courier! I avoid the madding crowds as far as possible.
