What a wonderful family. You must be very proud!
thank you for sharing, as far as I can see on the pictures they do have fun together. It's always exciting that first day of school....
Thanks Gerry, yes, there is an occasional spat now and again though when Ryke tells the girls to stop doing something annoying! He he he!! Love Chris
Wonderful pictures of a beautiful family. By the looks and smiles of all I know they will have a great school year. Hugs, Suzanna
Ryke is soon going to catch his mom, in height! The kids look excited and I hope all of their first day back went well. You have beautiful grandchildren! Of course they had to be, look at your children!-lol
Thanks Toogie, yes, the girls are very attractive and our son Ben is handsome too, it's just that he shaves his head now and has a full beard (with little patches of grey, te he he he) Ryke said he had a great day and was looking forward to tomorrow to really find out where his classes are etc. He got into the A stream, which we knew he would, as he's a very smart lad. Jason took him to a local computer shop this afternoon and got him a Hewlett Packard laptop (all children have to have one these days!!!!) which he has to take to school everyday and bring home everyday too. Times have changed haven't they?
I haven't heard yet as to how Ophelie went going into Year 2 and Ben's boy Cooper into Year 3. Love Chris
My how time flies and how much they have all grown...they all look so happy and I am sure they are looking forward to getting back to school!
Hi Kim, yes, I can't believe that Ryke will be 12 in 6 days! They are a happy lot. Love Chris
They all look so happy. I hope they had a great day and the entire year is filled with great memories.
Hi Karen, thanks so much. They are great kids and kudos to Dana and Jason on bringing them up so beautifully. It's so hard today with all the issues surrounding education. Love Chris
My how fast they are all growing up!! Everyone looks very happy to be getting back to school - which is a good sign!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Laura, yes, they are all looking forward to being back with all their friends - and it's so hot today. I don't reckon we should go back to school till at least the middle of February he he he!, but then it's hot in the summer here in Australia. Love Chris
They look great and, wow, is he suddenly very tall?
Hi Betsey, yes, he's having a bit of a growth spurt. He will never be really tall as Jason (his Dad) is only about 5 foot 10". Dana is only a bit taller than me and I'm short!! Love Chris
Great photos. Wishing the best for all of them.
Thanks Jerrilyn, we hope they have a great year. Ryke's had his tonsils out during the school holidays here. (We have 6 weeks over the summer break). Dana and Jason also bought an investment property and have been working on that too, so this will be great getting back into a routine! That being said, I'm off to collect the girls from school today and Thursday and take them home. Ryke is walking home from school with some of his mates which would be a good 3 kilometres and in the heat at the moment, not very pleasant! Love Chris
Wishing them all a excellent new school year. Year 7 is such a change so good luck to Ryke and I hope he enjoys his new school and all the different challenges that it brings. Hope Dana enjoys the Year 6's
Thanks Caroline. Yes, it's going to be a huge change for him. After always having just one teacher for the past 7 years he will now have multiple teachers per day. Dana is loving the challenge of being a Year 6 teacher. Her room looks amazing as she has a Flexible Learning room. We've given her our old blue lounge suite so the children can sit anywhere in the class. They don't have to sit at tables and chairs in line. Very forward thinking idea. She's a brilliant teacher and all the kids absolutely adore her. I'm so proud of her. Love Chris
Lovely photos. A exciting day for them all. Hugs
Hi Shirley, yes, it's an exciting time for Ryke particularly. I think he's a bit anxious and his little 'girlfriend' unfortunately is going to another school. He still has all his mates going with him to his High school though. Love Chris
