Since Wednesday I have been at a sewing retreat. We are at a Christian camp deep in the piney woods of East Texas. The group I came with is 8 other lovely, fun ladies from my town and we have helped and encouraged each other along all week. Here are some of the projects I finished, although I do have a couple that are not quite completed due to lack of a button on one and brought the wrong size form for another. I'd say it's been a very productive 5 days. Hugs.

What I want to know first, did you sleep? Five days and you got all this done! I want to go to this retreat next time!
Everything looks amazing! The FSL is GORGEOUS. Is it a trim or what will it be ?
What is the strip hanging at the bag bottom?
Gosh, I don't know which is my favorite but I suppose the FSL as I don't do FSL. Great work Nan!

Toogie, when you enlarge the picture it is a loop. I've got a bag like this so you can pass it through the loop. You gotta see one to understand what I mean!! Love Chris

In all fairness I must say that I had everything cut and ready to sew when I got there. The fsl snowflakes are sewn onto netting, top and bottom, with clear poly thread and it is a table runner for my dining room. It is about 8 inch wide. The bag is a for up shopping bag and the loop is how it all holds together when folded. Why don't you do FSL? It is so much fun and not really difficult. Thanks for all your kind words.

Thanks Chris. I worked on the 50 snowflakes over the last year and finally was ready to put it all together. And the ladies all helped get the final layout just right.

Oh my! That was quite a lot. I absolutely love the little monsters book pillow and the sweet prayer book pillow. Did everybody bring one design to teach or was there a teacher? Also, how did you accomplish the practicalities, such as meals...

Everyone worked on their own projects. I had everything cut and embroidered ahead of time so all I did was sew. The camp provided our meals and coffee/tea/cocoa as well as flavored waters were available to us 24hrs. A lovely devotional each morning gave us a great start to each day.
