Look who are in front of Buckingham Palace and have been to Westminster Abbey.

Amy, Steve, Ophelie and Delphi are on their way home from 'ol blighty' (England). They visited England as Steve is from there and so they caught up with a lot of his family, friends and relatives etc.

As I write this post they will be at either Heathrow or Gatwick I can't remember which one they are flying out of. On their way to the next stopover at Singapore and then a couple of hours waiting till they catch the plane home to Sydney. All in all nearly a 35 hour trip (24 hours plus the difference of 11 hours due to daylight savings).

That's why us Aussies always go for a few weeks overseas, as it's such a long way to go and you lose a day both ends of the trip travelling to get there.

Anyway, they've had a ball and are so looking forward to coming back home. Unfortunately when they arrive tomorrow (Thursday) we are expecting 40C - VERY HOT!!!

I can't wait to see them and catch up further on all their traipsing around Europe and England after we left them in Zurich, which seems like ages ago. Love Chris

Great pics and you can really see how much the girls have grown. Best wishes to all.

Hi Chris, yes, and to top things off Ophelie lost her other front tooth only a couple of days ago! So she has a big gappy smile now. Love Chris

Beautiful pictures. Isn't today's technology wonderful in that you can get the pictures before they are even home. . Lovely family.

Good morning Debbie, yes, it always amazes me and everywhere and I mean everywhere we went people were zoned into their Iphones etc. What annoys me most is people looking their phones with heads down and walking along the streets, malls etc. Some don't even think to look up! Love Chris

I envy them all. I love England and enjoyed every palace, castle, manor house and bit of history I could cram in. My prayers for a safe comfortable journey back home.

G'day Karen, I haven't been to England yet, but hope to one day! I know we've got lots of extended family on Steve's side who are willing to look after us!. I hope they have a safe journey home too. Love Chris

Hi Damaris, we've got a few more trips in us, but it's getting harder. The long flights make my back hurt! Love Chris

Love the photos! I KNOW you have missed them, as you usually see them most days. Beautiful places, family! How often does Steve go 'home'?

It's been nearly 6 years! He doesn't go back to England that often. His separated parents pop over once a year though.
It's so much harder for Steve and family to get the time off due to work commitments, school etc. It's easier for us oldies to travel! Love Chris

The last time they were there Ophelie was under 2. He sent me a picture of her outside of King's Chapel, Cambridge sitting in her pram with her mouth open as if she was singing. Steve's caption was "taking after her Nanna!". I've sung in choirs for years and now just lead the singing in our church etc. Love Chris
