Have been trying to get this posted for a while but lost the pic somewhere in the camera LOL nothing unusual for me. It's my Christmas cactus I wanted to share with you and the 2 angels that were included with my quilt. Just as proud of them as I was the Quilt. Again thank you. Hope you can see them well enough to appreciate them as I do. Keep me in your prayers please, am having some really bad days and SIL is driving me today to my treatment. Love you all Lillian

This one is mine. I've been waiting for decent weather to take a picture.
My mother-in-law had one for years. When she died it had reached about 3 feet across and flowered profusely! Father-in-law kept it going, but when he died it was too big to move and none of us had anywhere big enough to put it. I took lots of cuttings. I put several in each pot and this is one of them. It doesn't grow very quickly (it is already four years old) but always flowers obediently.
Incidentally, over here we expect our Christmas cacti to be pink. Easter flowering ones are usually red.

I keep mine outside during the frost free months and only bring them back into the house a few weeks before Christmas. This seems to do the trick!

P.S. My Mum has all the other colours of these Zygo Cacti. Her favourite one is the Hot Pink!!!! They were a mass of flowers in Spring (only a couple of months ago).
