Today I have put my embroidery machine away for the rest of the year. It has worked really hard with no problems for which I am extremely thankful. Presents all done. The only thing left are two shirts to make for myself. I feel as if a great weight has been lifted off me.

HI Sarah, it's nearly 9.30pm Thursday evening here and I'm just finishing off the quilt label Meg has digitised for me to put on our Priest's quilt. As of tomorrow my machines are being packed up too. Well actually the Husqvarna has to go in as it died on me over the weekend and I've been using the Brother Quattro. I'm going into Amy's tomorrow to help her tidy up as Steve's cousin Rachel is arriving at Sydney airport tomorrow at 6.00!! So he's driving down to collect her a 2 hour trip and in peak hour traffic! And then another couple of hours coming back to Newcastle. He then has to go to work. Amy has asked me to help just get the place tidy. Love Chris
I just heard the machine singing it's last hooray!!!! Merry Christmas to you my friend. Love Chris

Wow! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'd give you a standing ovation, but I'm tied to my machine at the moment! LOL! I'm working on teddy bears for kids who will be in the hospital over the holiday right now and then I'm done.

Enjoy the holidays!

I know you have been busy with your cats Suzanne. Try and get some well earned rest before Christmas.

When I first read part of your message I thought oh no don't retire, life without a machine is no life at all then I read the rest, so from me to you have a wonderful break catch up with some reading, cooking and visitors enjoy your break. No doubt you will be posting on cute and not packing away your computer. That would be total isolation and bad for your health.keep well Carol.

Carol, I will certainly not be retiring from my machine embroidery but at the moment enough is enough.
Thank you for your post

I hear you, I have a few items left to make and am looking forward to ''having no pressure''. I had a craft show scheduled this year and after finishing our home rénovations that lasted almost 9 months, I just felt it was too much. I cancelled my show and felt like a 50 pound weight was lifted off my shoulders.

Michelle, you certainly did the right thing. Living with the thought of so much to do and not enough time weighs heavily on us all. My eldest daughter and family arrive next week for a few days and I just want some “me” time
