I'm happy thinking of Dennis still guarding our missing scissors. I never did find 1 pair. I think the packers didn't think I would miss a pair. We certainly gave him plenty of reasons to poke fun with us and we will always love him for it. I remember admitting I had washed my thumb drive. Two years later and it is still working. I will now treasure it for the memories. And yes, I have spare pairs of scissors now and I will raise a pair to honor Dennis along with everyone else.
We sure do have some lovely memories of Dennis.
I too have been going back over some of his posts and enjoying some bittersweet moments reading them. :-(
Many thanks for the trip down memory lane. Thanks to those who posted links for us to remember this truely wonderful kind, funny and loving gentleman. Today I went into the sewing store when I went into town and purchased ANOTHER small pair of scissors just to keep as a mementor of denniss999. They are blue and white.
I will think of him whenever I see them in my sewing room. Hugs and Flowers to all. 🌸 🌸 🌸
One of my fondest memories...and scissors.
I didn't know the gentleman back when this post was written, what a wonderful tribute to him. I'm sure he is smiling at the fact that all of you are celebrating his life and the joy he gave you. As long as you remember and share he won't be forgotten. This was a real fun read. :~)
Rescuer thanks so much for admitting to being the original poster and giving the link. What a laugh I have just had re reading the original.

Nice trip down memory lane.
Shirley I am still giggling over the tin can issues. I have saved some, but have never made the recipe. Hilarious post

I'd forgotten about this post. Just read through it and had a good giggle. Just what I needed this morning as I am very tired after 2 days of travelling and visiting, catching up with family and friends before Christmas. Hugs
I know it started about someone loosing her scissors or purchasing one. Maybe someone will remember having started such a post and give us a link. Thanks for yours. I loved his wonderful sense of humor.
Thanks for re posting this, it gave me smiles and giggles thru the whole reading. I can just see him standing in heaven holding all the lost scissors we haven't found or guarding the new ones we haven't purchased yet. lol
