It won't be long now, then you will have a little peace and quiet for a while. But it is nice to see them each year. Thanks.
Hi Marian, yes, we can't wait to tidy up the back deck and make sure the hole is secure. I don't know what will happen next year. Trevor isn't prepared to put up with his constant crashing into the windows. Love Chris
It is so awesome to be able to watch nature. Sorry that one is so infatuated with himself he breaks windows. Love your pictures
Thanks Angie, the parents are down in the back reserve watching over the chick. I hope the chick is o.k. tonight. It's been very mild so he should be o.k. Love Chris
Beautiful pictures Chris, our kookaburra's are back also.
Thanks Barbara, our little chick flew the nest not long after these pictures were taken. He's down in the very far back left hand side of our garden squeezed up against our back fence and the side fence of our neighbour. The parents are perched in a gum tree down in the reserve just over the back fence, keeping a watchful eye on him. Love Chris
What lovely pictures. Do the same pair come back every year? If so when they leave you will have time to 'bird proof' your windows before next season. hugs leaha
Hi Leaha, no, this pair is not the same as the pair who have been coming for he past 12 years. That is why it's been so frustrating to watch this young male bird do so much damage to our place. We will be happy to see him gone. Love Chris
beautiful !! even if they give a lot of window trouble....
Chris your pictures of the family in your garden are always goo to see - apart from the damage from the older one
Thanks Carolin, it's now 9.3pm Monday night as I write this and he has flown out of the nest. I've take a video of him and put it on my FB page. He's a chirpy one for sure. Love Chris
