I want to have a stuffie party. We have a new Fire Station being built to replace the old. I read a post about giving stuffies to fire and police services to give to little children. So I want to have a stuffie party with my friends to make a bunch to give to the new fire station. My problem is that I don't have any stuffie designs. I've never made a stuffie before, but it appears to be simple enough.

I'd appreciate knowing where you get your stuffie designs from and which are your favorites!

Just got notice this morning that Planet Appliqué is having her 90% off sale and thought of this post. Simple plus very complex stuffies are all $1.90 USD in the hoop. Looked over site and don't see anything that would prevent linking. Check out the ITH category and Abby plus Pony. Tried to message you and to add links but getting a query error message.

Try Australian Machine Embroidery Addicts (AMEA) this is a pay it forward group they have free designs and add-on's for the bears. You will need to join.

These are simple designs and a great place to start.

I have several from and they stitch out very good. I have made mine in fleece instead of minky. I like the owl & penquin and elephant. But you do have to add the elephant ears from another hooping. You can see which ones are 1 hooping. They are on sale for $1 at least thru today, the newest ones are on sale, but intro sale, not $1. Good directions also.

Thanks for the idea and the info. I am going on a mission trip to Peru in Feb.2018 to teach women and girls to sew and these would make a nice, ez to pack item to take along to give as a gift.
"Thankful" gives you 50% off your order right now so for $5, I have an amazing ITH bear, to get embroidering. :)
Contact Pam Damour - the Decorating Diva, if interested in joining us on the mission trip.

There's a church near me where the senior members meet each week to sew simple dolls with simple faces and also teddy bears. They keep the officers in several cities stocked with these items for traumatized or fearful children.

If Sue has her ITH Teddy from DBC s it is the best stuffie, all my GD's loved them. check out her Engineeried in Stitches

I think it was Martine's bears in DBC! I did do some jointed ones, but Martine had done hers long before I began digitising.

Thanks Sue for correcting me, I just love the design.

My post re donating to state police? I'm in process again --have at least a dozen and more waiting. My favorite is teddy bears..the pattern is one hooping, stuff, and sew opening by hand. The bears have the sweetest faces and come in several sizes. I complete to stage of sewing back, I stop the stitching after stitching to under arms. Then I lengthen the legs with marker and complete the sewing on machine. I like a bit bigger bear and my largest hoop is only 11+ inches. I got my pattern at :

ITH is what I'm looking for!

Oops. I have this in the wrong place. The stuffies don't have to be free!
