Hi, I have a Janome 350e embroidery machine and would like to be able to stitch messages in a simple handwriting style to look like simple hand backstitch. Does anyone know of a font pattern to make this possible?

If you google search for "run stitch handwriting embroidery font" quite a few come up.

You may need to use software to "write" your words out as your machine won't do that for you.

Currently I cant think of a answer for you but I'm sure that there will be a font somewhere that's suitable AND some Cutie will be able to point you in the direction your after.
