Thanks, will give it a go.
Bag making is on my retirement agenda.
Oh, I have that beautiful black and white fabric. It was a gift from a sweet friend! I love your bag. You are really a pro at this. Want to give lessons?
I'm sure you don't need lessons, especially from me. I wanted to give this as a SS gift but as Sue emphasized 'small' I didn't want to get fussed at-lol
Thanks. I like such style also!. I will finish the project a backpack and I will make this. Thanks for the reference. The result is very good! The handbag is fine!
Terrific job Toogie, love the fabric inside and out and all the lots. never can have enough of them. Much love Lillian
Thank you Mrs. Lillian, I agree about the pockets. Hope you are doing better. Wishing you and your sweet family Happy Thanksgiving.
That is a very smart looking bag! I love it. You have done such a professional job. I've never made a bag before, but you inspire me.
Go ahead and make one! You have the pattern link and doesn't the fabric look familiar? At least, I think you were the one got this piece!-lol
This looks fabulous. I love bags with tons of pockets to keep everything organised
Love it, Toogie! It's the type of bag I like: many pockets, dark fabric outside and light-coloured fabric inside, so that it's easier to find what you are looking for. Well done!
Hugs, Lidia
I had just a small piece of the light contrasting fabric to make my piping and lining. I almost didn't buy it but I'm glad now I did. Thanks
Great job Toogie!! Love all the pockets.
Kathy
xoxo
I love that! Look at all those pockets/dividers! Great work, Toogie!
You did a supper job on it. I make all my purses, even if the stores are full of purses I like mine better, or maybe they just suit my needs, It must be the same with you . love the fabric .
Maybe you are like me, in that we know what we like and also know we can make that. Thanks!
Well, Toogie..you should be making and selling your own patterns...wonderful adaptations to the original...
I always say, 'gotta have those pockets!'-lol-you would think a small purse you wouldn't need any but I like to reach in and FIND what I want without scratching around....organization... in my purse anyway, lol
Gorgeous bag Toogie xxx
PS. I like your version better. ;-)
Wonderful bag. Love how you "make the pattern" your own. I am glad to see that I am not the only one who does not follow patterns exactly!
Are we all alike?-lol-I read through the directions before I start and make mental notes. Then I cut out extra pockets or tape a 2 inch width of paper to each top piece for taller bag, etc. Maybe some don't like the crossbody bags, but they suit my needs. I haven't left my purse anywhere lately.
great choice of fabrics as usual Toogie. do love your sewing, so professional.
Lovely bag, Lovely fabric. Well done once again. Hugs
Love it Toogie, beautiful fabric and love the design.
Michelle, it is Waverly Fabric I got for $2 yard. I have made a 2 journal covers, this bag, gave some away, and still have a piece left of the black. There wasn't much of the contrast white. Whenever I catch it on sale or reduced, I get some. I may not know what I will make, when I get it, but I'll make something. Thanks-Toogie
It's gorgeous Toogie, I love homemade bags and this one is just great with all the extras you've added, well done. Love Chris
You know me Chris, gotta have those pockets for 'things'. I want to open and find what I want without digging. Not sure how I will like this closure yet though.Thanks-T
It is perfect for you. Wear it in good health.
Thank you! I do like a one strap purse. I don't have the shoulders to keep a two strap bag on well-lol
Oh Toogie this is fantastic. I just love your bags there great
Thank you Caroline. This did sew up easily. Pattern and instructions were good.
Your purse is wonderful,,,,,and thanks for the link, and the alternations information/
Thank you and you're welcome. I spent more time trying to decide on a pattern, than the actual time to cut it out and sew. I know these crossbody bags make look more for the young ones, but I have to strap it on me or I'll walk off and leave it.....Besides, I'm young at heart!-lol
