Doily using Sue Box's designs: Versatile Doily 4 (smallest size) and Roses 3 (smallest size). This fit in my 240X150 hoop. Finished measurement: 5" wide and just short of 8" long. It's good to be sewing again now that summer has gone and garden etc. is out of the way. With all the fires we had in BC this year there were other things that kept us very busy. How special! That frame will always bring special memories to you. This one of Sue's comes in 3 sizes so I must do something with them now that I'm at my machine again. Thank you for your encouraging comment. Yes, I used w/s after I had also well starched the fabric. It was a rather loosely woven linen and needed the support. The colours were close to what was given with the original design, but now having watched how it stitched out I may make other coloured roses another time!!
