Pumpkin place mats . I have tried to buy these from the "Dollar Tree Store" for the last several years when I first saw them posted and missed out each year as they go fast. They are a stiff felt like fabric and so much fun to embroidery on. Got them this year! I put the large "B" monogram letter, so if they don't sell, I would give them to my daughter. Actually , I did not know how to price them, but just went for it. Kay

I love what you have done with these. I bought one last year and made a welcome sign for the door. Now I want to make placemats like these but our store only has owls this year. I guess I will have to make another door sign.

Your pumpkins look great.

Have fun as they were much easier than I thought. I still think the 3 letter monogram looks best if you are doing for your self.

Great job Kay! I had wanted to do the same this year but it simply wasn't to be. They should sell well/Lillian

If you were lucky enough to find then , save for next year. I probably should have bought more than 4 but didn't how they would turn out. I was afraid they would break a needle but they didn't.

They look fabulous. Did you use a cut-away or tear away? I used cut away when I did some before.

I think it was heavy weight cut away and a 90 needle. Pinned the mats down to the stabilizer using long quilting pins and lightly spraying the stabilizer. I was surprised they stitched as nicely as they did.

Thanks, do you have the Dollar chains of stores in AU? I find all kind of goodies there including the Christmas gift bags for Christmas.

I have purchased some of these for our Thanksgiving holiday - what type of stabilizer did you use? These look great!

Some don't stretch, but some do a wee bit.

I used a heavy weight cut a way and a 90 needle.
