Had a knee done in April and mine has not been the quick recovery everyone promised, and I did every bit of my therapy PLUS. I guess I'm a slow healer. Glad you have a good support team at home! Ice is great for the swelling and when the doctor okays it, heat for comfort - especially first thing in the a.m. I was getting too much side- to-side sway in my walking until a friend suggested I needed to get off the cane and use a walker for awhile - it worked! Also when doctor approves it (scab is gone) get cocoa butter, with the tanning supplies at drugstore, and massage into sore area twice a day. Wonderful for your skin - vitamins.
Sorry you are in pain but it will feel so much better in no time and you will find it so much easier to get around. Keep us updated with your progress. Great to see you around again
Oh, boy, I love when Cuties post on pain meds. LOL! I'm just kidding you, I'm sorry you are in pain and I hope you have a wonderful physical therapist as I hear that's where the successful replacements happen, when the PT is good.
Praying for healing and relief of pain. I know that things can not be rushed.
I hope your pain gets better as you do your therapy. My BIL has just had one knee replacement this past Tuesday and we are trying to contact him to see how he is doing. He had a triple bypass just under 4 months ago and so we are hoping all is well with him. Hugs
hope the pain will get less soon, and you will have a good recovery. Hugs. Gerry
I know how to d with the pain. Sorry you had to have this done but hang in there, it will get better/Lillian
Good for you. I know it's painful, my Mum has had 3 knee replacements (the first one years ago in Adelaide didn't work out!!) She had 2 done up here in Newcastle and she was a great patient and religiously did her physical therapy so she is good now. She is now 83 and walks well, it's now just her feet that are giving her grief, but we're working on that!!!
As each person before me has said, just take your time with healing, and check in on here more now as you recuperate! Love Chris
Give it some time and do your therapy and I'm sure you will do fine. Sister in law did both hers at same time, did wonderfully. You will be able to stay up to date on Cute while you're recovering and healing. Best wishes to you for 100 percent improvement - Toogie
I'm so sorry you are experiencing all this pain. I hope you have a great physical therapist and recover quickly and life returns to normal. Welcome back and hope the Cute family helps to keep you entertained while you recover.
I've had both knees replaced, most important thing is make sure you do all your rehab therapy. It's worth it. Good to hear from you.
Glad you felt well enough to pop in...wishing you a complete and speedy recovery...
