I am in need of a basting frame for my Brother machine. Can any of you tell me how to do this myself? Or where I can find one to fit my 7 1/8" by 11 3/4" frame? Thanks in advance.

https://www.secretsof.com/ On the Embroidery Tips page there is a link for free basting stitches.
There are quite a few sites, but don't have access to their place right now.
And at https://www.akdesignsboutique.com... there are some along with a few free designs.

thank you. I don't know why I haven't utilized basting frames until recently. It sure helped my fabric to stay down instead of "bouncing" with the movement of the needle.

use the frame feature on your machine to make your own.
Basically you are adding a frame design before your desired one. Remember to lengthen the stitch so it will remove easily.
what machine do you have? It could have a built in basting stitches

Well, I asked before I looked. Embroidery Garden has a free set. Silly me. Sorry for the bother.

I also have free frame designs for all machines except Bernina, many ready made or created made to measure by request via PM.
