UPDATE AT END-Hurricane Harvey Aftermath-Hello Cuties, are any of you from Katy Texas or know our cutie mariahail? I have pm-ed her twice and posted for La and Texas Cuties to check in with another post, but there has been no word from her. I have a telephone number for her, but it seems it is a land line and I am sure their phones aren't all working properly, as clean up is still underway.

The last time she commented on anything I posted she said she was unwell. I really wish we could hear from her or if any of you have, please let me know.

I will continue to call this number, but if her apartment has to be renovated she may have moved.

The link I put has her comment at the very bottom about her illness, in someone else's comment. She commented at the top too, but it's at the bottom of the link page...... I really wish we could hear news of her.
UPDATE 9-23 Cuties, if I am not on Cloud 9 then I must be higher!-lol- Thanks to Lillian, Meg and Kay for locating Maria for me! Cuties always come through and I know at least one of these Cuties, must have a nose like a blood hound-lol-I slept like a baby last night and it's been a very long time since I was a baby!-lol- I have spoken with Maria, via Cute, and she is wanting to embroider something as soon as energy permits. I can't express how happy this has made me hearing from her and cannot express my gratitude enough for Cuties helping me find her. Love to all of you-Toogie

Thank you so much Meg. I'm not on Facebook, but Lillian told me last night she had spoken with her, on Messenger. Maria didn't say how her health issues were, nor where she is now, but just to know she survived the floods of the hurricane has relieved me.
Not long after I came to Cute, my only embroidery hoop broke hooping either a diaper or a towel. I was devastated. I asked on Cute where to find one for my little machine and mariahail pm-ed me. She had actually two that fit my machine and since her machine didn't work anymore, she sent them to me. She also sent me many spools of thread. I thought that was so nice, for someone I never even heard of, to do. I am still using the hoops on my second little 4x4 machine and when I use it, I think of Maria and the kindness she showed toward a complete stranger. I think you have heard this before but 'Aren't Cuties the best!'
I also learned to NOT hoop some things, just the stabilizer. I have learned much from this site and all the Cuties.Thank you all.

I'm glad you brought this up Toogie. So many of our Cute family has been in harm's way from terrorist attacks, fires, hurricanes and earthquakes. We do need to remember to let someone know that we are OK after the fact. Unfortunately, with Harvey, Irma and now Maria, it may be quite a while before all has settled. We need to keep praying and those who are waiting to hear, keep trying to make contact. My prayers are added to yours.

I keep trying to call, but being a land line, if she settles elsewhere then I just have to wait, until she makes contact. If she is too ill, I dread to think we may never know......I need to tell my girls if something ever happens to me to let all of you know. I think you would want to know and I sure would, if something happened to any of you. You are my Cute family. I'm on here almost daily and I sure don't speak to my older grands that much. I know they are working or in activities after school, so I wait to hear from them. ...Unless, I get really, really, lonesome. Then I bug them!-lol

Toggie, you are a sweetheart! I spent the storm at my daughter's home, just lots of rain but oraise the Lord we did not get any in her house, I got some in my apartment, not a lot, just enough to have to remove part of the sheetrock in the bedroom. On the other side I have to let you'll know that I am suffering of cirhosis of the liver, since my cancer treatment 11 years ago, the liver enzymes for going higher and higher with every blood test, I was never a drinker, my daughter and new doctor think it was fatty liver, but had several ultrasounds during the last few years and was never told of such problem. I am not afraid, I am at peace with myself and will always respect the Lord's Will. Thanks so much for caring, hugs and blessings!!!!

I have been so worried about you! I cried tears of joy and relief last night, when Lillian told me she had heard from you, through Messenger. Then Meg this morning had news, so I knew you survived the weather storm. I am so happy you have your daughter to help you as I was imagining you may be alone in this huge world. Get your daughter to give you a very warm hug and tell her that was from Toogie to you-lol- I can't tell you how happy I am to finally hear from you! Take care and keep in touch. You are the sweetheart. In Christian love-Toogie

Good to hear from you, Maria. I'm glad that your daughter is near and you can be with her and our of harm's way. I'm praying for your diagnosis and thanking Him that you are His.

Don't give up hope, Toogie. My friend just came home from evacuation 2 days ago, but she still is unable to get to her home. there are still thousands of families with no place to go. they are planning on setting up additional temporary shelters at the Port of Orange within the next 24 hours for people still making their way back into the area. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thanks for informing me about the progression of the work. I know it is so much to still be done. So many are displaced. Where ever she is I wish they would offer Internet and she could check in. I know the net is the least of her concerns right now but let's face it, it is the way to communicate and she probably hasn't thought about any of us worrying about her. I should have contacted her before the storm and planned for her to check in. You have eased my mind somewhat though, just knowing that I haven't heard because she just hasn't made it home yet.
Thanks again- Toogie
