Thank you for continued prayer. We are hoping for more and better accomplishments from Avery. She seems to be doing well and being happy.
Oh, I am so happy for Avery and for you. It sounds like she has found her happy place.
Toogie, that is awesome. It's so great to know that you have made the correct decision on helping Avery to become everything that she can. God Bless her school and Avery.
I pray for the people too and of course our Avery always. It is such a relief knowing there is a place & people like this.
I have just seen your update on Avery Toogie, and am thrilled for you and your family. What a wonderful place your daughter has found for Avery...one that challenges her safely So very happy for all of you! Way to go Avery and keep up the good work!
Thank you, it is a blessing to us all. My husband & I were to the point where we couldn't be much help when she needed lifting.
Oh my goodness!! Wonderful, wonderful! This was the right decision for Avery!! You go, girl!
Oh how wonderful. Every little step forward is so important. Yeah Avery.
That is great news!!! I bet she had a big smile on her face too!!!
Wonderful news. Nice to know she is happy and being well looked after. hugs Shirley
What wonderful news. So glad to hear that life is going well for her in her new school!
Thank you, yes they are going Friday on a field trip to see The Wizard of Oz. Of course mom and Nora will go too. I get to keep Gus.-lol
That is so wonderful !!! makes your heart burst! Keep on going Avery!! Yeah!
That is exactly how I feel! I showed my cousin the video this morning on my phone between class and church and she just teared up, wiping tears, but smiling the whole time she watched.Thank you
Sound like a wonderful facility. I know that takes a huge burden from everyone's shoulders. Praise God for places/people like this. Hugs. Nan W
So true as I ask God to watch over Avery, I also include the workers and there are many.
What great news ! She is really enjoying life there and making much progress.
I know she can do more, we just have to wait and see. When her mom and pops went to the meeting last week, a worker rolled Avery in and with a switch she operated with her head, Avery said 'Hello"! Amazing!
Avery has settled in well, nice to know that she is happy. Lovely that you are able to see her and what she is doing, so happy for you and all the family. Sandra.
Thank you so much Sandra. The staff are so good to send us text and videos, to let us know what is going on with her.
Absolutely wonderful news Toogie!! I am so happy for you all.
It will be a great relief to you all to know that she is happy there.
Thank you very much. I am much relieved to see how they have helped all of us, not just Avery, to adjust to her move.
Awesome. No wonder this has you jumping for joy. A conformation that the decision to place her there is a good one.
So wonderful, hope this is the start of great progress!!
Miss Toogie, I'm going to send a bungee cord to attach to yourself so you don't go bouncing off the world with your joy, into outer space! lol
What a blessing God has in store for you and your family. It's all just in His good time. Your have trusted in Him and let go of Miss Avery now He will give her wings. So thrilled for everyone. hugs leaha
I laughed at your first sentence and teared up at the next. Thank you Leaha/Toogie
Oh! Toogie, my heart skipped a beat when I read this wonderful story. How exciting for you all. Avery must be pleased too to be able to do this task. What we take for granted for a disabled person must be like winning the lottery for us. I'm so pleased for you all. Prayers all round for the staff who are helping her too. Love to Ashley and the gang. Love Chris
Chris, I just had to share with you! It must make their work feel so rewarding and we reap the blessings, from seeing Avery be able to do more than she has ever done before. Thanks for caring so much!-Toogie
Such awesome news and sounds like they are doing all they have said to try to get Avery so active, that she will gladly sleep when it is bed time. How awesome for Avery to have these activities and the staff and equipment for her to be able to have those activities and the skill development that will help her have a high quality of life developing all she is able to. The more they help Avery to have a full happy life, learning skills that she is learning, the more at peace the family will be. So happy for each of you, yes very good news you are sharing with us! Thank You!! Happy Avery, Happy family!!
It sure will help her muscles. All she could do at home was stand in her stander, putting weight on those leg muscles, but here she is giving them a real workout.
I just had to share the news!-thank you
How wonderful for her and you! It is amazing the things that become possible with a wish and a prayer!
I just wish you could see. She is kept so busy with one thing or another, they said they want to try to wean her off two of her medications. One was to help her sleep. The first year of life she could stay up 3 days and nights with no sleep. It liked to have killed Ashley and I would have to take off work sometimes to go, they lived an hour and a half away then to stay a week, just so Ashley could get some rest.
They said they would wear Avery out with activities, so she would be happy to go to sleep, without meds. We can only hope and pray she can now.
That is wonderful news! Prayers have been answered as she is learning and loving her school.
I know riding a bicycle may not be extraordinary for some but she never had the opportunity before. We didn't have anything like this, to hold and strap her on.
She always liked to swing. When she outgrew her baby swing, because of her length, my husband cut the frame and extended the legs, so she could still swing. The batteries were strong enough to swing her, as she didn't weigh much back then, but her feet would drag the floor before he 'customized' it for her. She probably was able to swing another 2 or 3 years.
