So happy Ashley's home is where the piano is!!! And glad to know you got to spend some time with Avery. How is she adjusting? Or maybe I should ask how are YOU ALL adjusting!?
We have had so much 'stuff' going on to occupy our minds, before I know it it's almost the weekend again. Avery is well. Her mom took her back Sunday evening and then saw her again yesterday (Tuesday). Avery was in the 'theater' with the other children when Ashley got there, enjoying a movie.
What a gorgeous piano! Looks like it was well loved and will continue to be......
Well done! Somebody said that there are no coincidences :-)
Hugs, Lidia
what a blessing for you to find a good home for this beautiful piano..
What a wonderful find. Hope Nora and Gus can give it a workout soon, so glad you got to cook for Avery she needed to see you too. Marian
how lucky for you, but I think that you are really being repaid for being a very nice person. so nice to think of the children wanting to learn.
This is the piano in my daughter Ashleys house. Since music is a part of our lives, we always look for interest in the children.
How wonderful...it's music to my ears!!
lol-We already saw interest in Nora but now see Gus's interest in music. Grayson had piano lessons, but he says only because his mother 'made' him. She had 5 sons, no daughters, but taught each of them to play.
How wonderful for all of you! It looks like a beautiful piano! My Mom used to play piano. I miss it! Congratulations. God moves in mysterious ways!
What a great story. Good to have the update on Avery.
I think either Ashley, me or Grayson have seen Avery almost each day she has been there-lol- but mostly Ashley, even though we are an hour away. Ashley has the excuse of bringing in more paperwork/records. Even though Grayson has to drive another 20 min further than his work, if he goes in in the afternoon to work, he will drop in and see her. I know he loves Avery just like his own, Nora and Gus. I am sure he misses her almost like her mom, as he help care for her so much.
God's perfect timing! So happy for you all and I'm so glad you got to cook for Avery. God bless, love Chris
Chris, my DH and I were suppose to ride with Grayson and Ashley, to pick up the piano, as his mom was keeping the kids. Even though it was in the next state, they were able to start out early and make the trip back and forth, in one day. However, this was right about the time I found out Ashley was considering enrolling Avery in the new school and I had cried so much I made myself sick. I had lost my voice and felt terrible. Barbara was so disappointed because I didn't visit Ashley said, but told her I wouldn't have been able to talk anyway!
God is good, and works in mysterious ways.
Your family is always in my prayers.
Hugs
Doreen
Thank you very much Doreen
This piano was given to my friend's husband, by the church he was music director of, at the time. Barbara said they wouldn't sell it, because it was a gift to them, but they would give it to someone who would appreciate it. Luckily Ashley plays and has the room for it.
Glad she was there to give it a good home.
I'm not on Facebook and haven't talked to Barbara in a while, but it's a good thing Ashley is and checked when she did. Barbara & DH move so much with his job, that I think they were just tired of moving it.
