She is going to be so proud to wear this and know that you love her! Your work is meticulous and the gown is gorgeous!
Beautiful what a masterpiece!!! I is stunning!
STUNNING! MORE STUNNING!! MOST STUNNING!!! Your daughter will look amazing in it. Good luck with the rest of the hand sewing. Love Chris
Thanks Chris, I am doing it in bursts as my hands tire quickly at the moment with the hand sewing
It is progressing nicely...the addition of the lace is wonderful...your grand daughter should be very proud to wear this...
Thank you Kim
Coming along beautifully. Cannot wait for the next installment. My eldest daughters wedding dress had a bodice of guipure lace over pure silk which was so difficult to sew. It took me weeks to sew on hundreds of tiny seed pearls on the lace when the dress was finished.
I bet your daughters dress was beautiful. I would love to see a photo of it. I have yet to get started on the beads, thankfully my daughter doesn't want too many
it is going to be stunning. I am amazed
Thank you. It is coming along
beutifull well done luv the dress
Where on earth did you find lace like this? The dress is wonderful, and she is going to have a wonderful time.
It was from spotlight. I saw it quite some time ago and loved it. It is expensive but I bought half a metre when they had a 50% off sale. At the time I didn't know we would be using it for my dd dress. Luckily we had more than enough.
You are an amazing seamstress. This is a major project and I'm sure that your daughter will remember with love wearing this beautiful creation that her mother put so much love into.
Now that she can envisage the end result she is getting more and more excited to see it finished. So am I for that matter!
I have add a couple more photos. Let me know if you prefer me to delete the older pics to make the page load quicker.
You are a wonderful seamstress!
You're very kind. Thank you.
This is coming along beautifully! Your daughter will be the belle of the ball!
thank you she loves it so far
WOW! This is stunning Sewmum1 - there must be over 20 metres of tulle in this skirt. The addition of boning and embellishments will definitely finish off the bodice too. Your DD looks great in it already! Love Chris
Thanks Chris. My daughter worked out there is about 48m of tulle circumference at the hem. Will take a while to trim!
Looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing the finished result
Thanks we are getting there
Lovely. The skirt is gorgeous. Your daughter is going to be beautiful.
Thank you. There are only 3 layers of the tulle but lots of it!
Wow, it's coming along...waiting anxiously or the finale!
Wow. I am impressed even if it is not totally finished.
Gorgeous!! How beautiful! she is going to be the belle of the ball!
Oh my gosh she will look and feel like a true princess, as dances the night away. Beautifully done so far, can't wait to see the final master piece.
What an ambitious project = good on you! Keep the photos coming...
excellent sew far****
It's going to be a masterpiece and she will be a knockout in it/Lillian
Looking good so far. Love the colour.
Keep your eye open at Markets or Shops closing down and you may find a smaller mannequin. I did years ago one from a shop about a 3 to 5 year old size for $10 got so much use out of it especially for pinning no stabbed kids.
Good idea. This one is a small ladies but not quite small enough for this dress.
Wow! It's going to be gorgeous. Stay patient!
Beautiful design and love the color red. I don't envy you with all that tulle! It is going to be beautiful
Looking good! Can't wait to see the finished gown...
looks great! love the off the shoulder sweetheart neckline.
Great start! Aren't we luck to have at our disposal such wonderful helping tools for our machines? Can't wait to see your masterpiece.
Great job, it takes ages doesn't it? I know I had metres for the girl's flowergirl dresses and I didn't use a gathering foot!!!! Love Chris
I was about to gather the traditional way and then I remembered I had a gathering foot that fitted this machine, I definitely a happy dance knowing how much time it would save
