Have fun! I am hoping to get a 7 year old sewing soon. I think she may still be too young, so we do other crafts.
Hope you have a great weekend with the little ones, no matter what you decide to do. My little niece loves to pick out the thread colors and push the buttons when told to. My newphew, not to be outdone-he is 9-asked to learn how to do it on his own in one short lesson. LOL I told him he had to learn how to use a regular sewing machine first! It warms my heart when they both ask "can you make me one of those?"
Hi Caroline, isn't it great reminiscing with your old mates? I have my oldest friend who lives in Adelaide. We met when we were 9! Every time I go back there I go and see her and it was like we were together yesterday - those sorts of friends are keepers! I'm glad you got to spend some precious time with her. You should still have some sewing fun and I'm sure Twm would have a go - Gruff might no be so interested in it at 3 years old. I know Delphi isn't, but Ophelie loves to watch me sew and help out when she can!!! Love Chris
This should make for a very interesting weekend, if you let them both in. Let us know the outcome/Lillian
Good to have you here. How old are the boys? I do not think that I would let Ben or Georgie have a try with my embroidery machine. When they stay Georgie always wants me to embroider something.
Twm sits on my knee and presses the button at the appropriate time. Usually I let him choose the pattern and what we are going to make. Twm is 6 and Gruff 3
It's always fun to laugh and reminisce.Have fun with the boys and don't let them wear you out!
It was great fun and I will try not to get too tired when I have the boys over the weekend. its their very early starts that get to me
It may not have been as planned, but it sounds like it was a wonderful time. I hope you manage to to do some stitching soon.
