Really pretty. You can change up your decor with each new set.

Thanks you for your comment. That would be nice if they stayed in my house. I do have some fabric with the idea that they live here for me to use. You may see more posts!!

Thank you, Chris. Yes, the blue/yellow ones were special. My daughter had bought that fabric some time ago "just because she liked it"! After it sat for a few years she gave it to me and said she didn't have time to sew. I made her an apron for Christmas and then when I realized there still was more, I made the placemats for her birthday. So she got her fabric back!!
My other daughter took one of the Christmas sets so I just have the green set left. It's time for me to dig into my stash and make some more. I often sell some but mostly they are a one-size-fits-all gift to keep on hand. Be blessed today, Avis

They look awesome. How much material does a set like this require?

Thank you.
For a set of 4 placemats the fabric requirements are:

Focus Fabric: 1 yard
Accent Fabric: 1/2 yard
Muslin: 1 yard (I used a firm but not too heavy canvas); you can use thermolam, or similar if you want a thicker placemat; however I find that water/wine glasses tend to be unsteady. (Could be the wiine!!!! ggg)
Backing: 1 yard (my backs are the same as the focus)

I used a pattern called "Table Graces" by Jean Dunn Designs and she's online at QuiltWoman.com

BTW, thanks for directing me in the right direction yesterday. I appreciated learning something new. Avis

Thank you for the info Avis. Made a note of it. So many things I want to do.

You don't really need a pattern and use 1/4" s/allowances. Begin with a rectangle, cut corners 1" in and use 2 1/2" strips. First you add top and sides then corners, repeat again, trim and add backing and turn. I stitched 1/4" around the outside and then repeated it for each row. It was much easier than quilting it. Show us what you come up with. Blessings, Avis
PS By your wick reply I'm guessing you're having your morning cup of coffee with me!!
