I am so super excited I can hardly contain myself. After visiting both Bernina and Brother and speaking with the technician in both stores twice, I decided to order the Brother Dream Machine 2. For me it is the most fabulous machine I have ever seen. It is super quiet, the scan camera was unbelievable, so many features, so many included hoops and attachments, so many included designs and stitches. I am sooo excited. It is suppose to be here around the 19th and I can hardly wait. I am watching every you-tube video I can find and can hardly believe it will be mine. This is my first big purchase since my husband passed in 2014 and was scary for me. My husband made all the big decisions and I was so afraid of making a mistake. Spending this much money was scary and having no one to discuss my purchase with at home was scary. I have been blessed with all you cuties and your input. I also had the pleasure of a phone conversation with Angie (crafter2243) and she was amazing. Very friendly and encouraging. She owns the Brother machine and was so willing to share her knowledge with me. Thank you Angie for helping me when I needed it. Thank you all for your input and advise. Right now I am still nervous about the money but so thrilled that I will be able to sew and play on this wonderful machine. It came with 2 free cleaning/tune-ups and 5 two hour lessons. Good for you, I know you will be happy with the Brother Dream machine.

I now have 3 Brothers. Not as good as your Dream Machine but good enough for what I do. Why do I have 3, well I have just upgraded as something new came on board. Thanks to a JANOME guy one sounds like a tractor, but that will be sent to a brother Tech to be sorted. There is no Brother Tech around me.

Thank you for the encouragement and kindness. It still seems like a dream to be getting such a fabulous machine. Am finally getting used to the idea and calming down a bit. Probably will not get much sewing done this summer with tending my Grandchildren and tending yard, garden, etc. but will get plenty done this fall and next winter. Good luck with getting your machine fixed properly. Sometimes I think repairmen do things just to make it seem like their machines are better and to make other brands look bad. I am so happy for you! For your machine and mostly making a decision to buy. Now that you have purchased it try to not worry so you can enjoy it. I know exactly how you feel. When we purchased my last new car I was excited to have a new one , but didn't sleep thinking about how much it cost. Prices have gone so crazy. I can not wait to sew on it. I have two quilts sandwiched and ready to stipple. That will probably be my first project to try to stipple in the hoop. It looked so amazing. Thank you with hugs, Barba

Neaten your sewing room, cut out some projects, check your stabilizer reserves, arrange your fabrics, and make a list of the first 20 things you want to stitch. Also, sweep, grocery shop and any other petty things that might interfere later! I'm so happy for you. You will be in love immediately. Congratulations.

Barba congratulations on your choice of new machine and I hope when it arrives that you have many happy hours working together. It is useful getting others ideas here and actually speaking with someone who owns and uses the machine is icing on the cake as it were. There are times in the past that I have wanted advice from others here and its been invaluable. Congratulations also on making such a large decision by yourself. The back up sounds great too. Now we can all look forwards to seeing what you create in projects.
