Oh Carolyn I get cold just looking at your pictures. come on down to Alabama temp today was 83 F. we did have a bad hailstorm yesterday and the ground was covered with ice but it quickly melted. Thinking of you, stay warm/Lillian
This definitely has been a crazy winter! Our snow is finally going but we are getting a lot of rain now and a lot have flooded basements etc. We sympathize as we have been there. I also Hate Ice!! Be very careful.
Warm hugs, Nadyne
I am with you We are needing spring to bloom soon... I am tired of the white stuff and cold also!
Your poor tree in the last photo looks so cold, it's a wonder anything survives the cold you seem to get each year. I think you and John should winter here in Australia each year. We all have room for you and it would probably take the 3 months to get around to see everyone.
All I can say is Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
not sure about an Ice Storm, sounds very bad! Spectacular pictures though. In Nth Queensland Australia, the people are currently living through a Tropical Cyclone. Bad too. One place had 13 inches of rain in 5 hours.
It is beautiful, but I know it must be very cold. I actually miss the snow. It has been doing 27 C here, winter is around the corner. Warm hugs to you!
I surely am sorry. That truly must be miserable. Ever think of moving?
Oh it makes me shiver. I don't like the weather too hot but I sure don't like it as cold as you are getting. Keep warm. Hugs
Bbbrrrrrr.....That makes me feel cold, We had a gorgeous sunny day in Cornwall, U.K. Today, Jean xx
Oh my goodness Carolyn you have some seriously bad driving conditions up there. Now I understand why people think "we" have so much Arctic weather. SIGH...........it will soon pass I hope & like you I am so ready for this bizarre weather to be OVER!!!
I find it hard to believe that you live in such harsh conditions Carolyn. I'm so thankful that you have that big wood fired heater in your basement and I too now know why you get so much sewing done! Please keep warm and dry and I hope Mr Peeko is doing alright with the ice and mush as it starts to thaw. God bless.
PS. How many people live in your community and do they all have combustion stoves etc. etc. etc.?
500 live here and i think 99% have wood stoves wood is free but back breaking to get lol
Is the wood from fallen trees? Firewood is very expensive around here unless someone you know has a farm where a tree has fallen or been hit by a storm. No chopping down trees or clearing land without a permit.
Wow, hope you and John are okay and have hydro. We had rain but thankfully no ice. Hate to say it but it is 60F here today. Take care. Hugs Lynn
Gosh Carolyn its seeing pictures like this that makes us realise how and why you are able to get so much sewing done. I'm glad that I had a much warmer day than you did though it was chilly for me but no doubt quite warm for you
YUK FOR SNOW AND ICE, TIME FOR WARM WEATHER.DID YOU HAVE A TALK WITH MOTHER NATURE.TELL TO SEND WARM WEATHER...LUCY
So dangerous. This looks tricky. Be careful - or, just be inside! Think of you often and hope your power is on and you two are toasty warm.
