Hi everyone..Well kitten season has begun for us... A feral Tuxedo we trapped gave birth to 3 little Tuxedo kittens on the 21st.

A beautiful Tortie abandoned gave birth last night to 6 kittens 2 orange 2 black and 2 tigers all boys... I still have another mama waiting to give birth.
Afterwards when the kittens are on their own the mama cats will be fixed and adopted out The feral ones will be put back where they came from fixed with their shots also. The kittens will also be fixed when they are big enough and adopted out.
I have a house full right now about 20 cats and Kittens and I am sure more to come. Kitten season just started.
Just wanted to share the good news! Each one is precious...

You already know how pleased I am with the mamas and babies. And I know how many hours a day you and Dave spend caring for them all and no compensation from the city. Kudos to you my sister/friend. Way to go.

Wow! I so appreciated what you do. We have had several feral colonies around, and if the city took care of them, they would certainly perish.

Wow nice the city takes care of them... Here the animal control is not allowed to handle them... there are a lot of people out there that feed the cats but when something happens they say they are not mine. SIGH...
That is when I get them . Heal them have them fixed and get their shots and re release them.
Thanks!

Wow 20 cats and kittens that is amazing!!! What a wonderful job you are doing in caring for these precious fur babies and I hope you are getting some compensation for all you do for them. We need lots of people like you helping our cats and dogs. God bless, love Chris

No, all my work is volunteer work. I do not get paid at all. Thank you for the kind words! The adoption fees pays for the vets the food and litter. We won a grant to help with costs for spay, neuter and shots. Lots of work but rewarding helping Gods creatures. Hugs Suzanne

Thank you Lillian... Each one is so fragile and beautiful... They will have a good life and not know the horrors of being in the streets. Thanks!

Oh Suzanne, I hear you......we have 2 new kitties that have shown up to eat and will soon start trapping, can't tell if they are male or female but they are definitely feral........All I can say is God Bless you everyday for all you do for these poor defenseless animals......I wish every city had at least 2 of you!! OMG, those tuxedo kitties have to be gorgeous.....I will be so sad when our girl passes.......we have had 2 Tuxedo's and both have been such fabulous fun and even tempered additions to our family......Good luck, my friend!!

I also need to add that our city and state governments need to help with the responsibilities that the private citizens have taken on with the homeless animal populations....our city is trying to push through a new tax on pets.....charging owners a $10 per pet tax yearly.....I expect to see more animals put out on the street if this ridiculous tax goes through......many people are struggling to feed and medicate their pets let alone have to pay the city to own them.......I see red just thinking about this......if the legislators think this is going to make people more responsible it will have just the opposite effect......OK, am done venting!!

sdrise by sdrise 26 Mar 2017

Thanks for the kind words my friend but you do your part also...Like you said if at least two people in each city stepped up there would be no problems. I agree so many people are irresponsible and just toss out pets like the trash.
The tax does not make sense to me either I agree it will make the problem worse. I will vent with you!
Hope you can catch the little ones and have them fixed. We will start trapping again too... It was too cold for two months here to do it. Now that the weather is better we will begin again.
Take care and thanks again!

Bless you for doing this. Have a friend who has been feeding feral cats and paying for fixing them for years.

We started and run an Org... We saw a need in the city and our city has no shelter. The Animal Control Officer has to board the dogs in another town and I do all the cats. We became a non profit and have been doing this for 6 years. lots of work and just hubby and myself do this. We also trap neuter and release feral cats. We have gotten several grants to do this ourselves with no ones help. Thanks

Busy days ahead hope that they will all be healthy and find good homes. So sad the lack of responsibility that many show with their care of their pets. I am grateful for the ones who find people like you, who do the work you are doing. Glad there are a few on this site that have a similar mission in their lives too. Wish all of your efforts were no longer needed by our communities. Thanks again, Pam

I could not have said it better! You would not believe some of the stories I can tell. Every cat that comes here has their own story. I always say when they arrive here they are lucky... I treat them all like they are my own and find wonderful fur ever homes for them. They are all happy here and know love. Thanks !!
