Love your tea towels. I would go with the gold & brown,
as it is a Gold ann. Thank you for sharing. Happy Stitching

I like the white one myself.... but I know you will pick the best one. :)

lovely project, I would prefer the lace on the right side, if it was a little bit less dark. perhaps in white lace.... this colour asks too much attention now . But I do like the lace more than the tassels.....

I love them both, but perhaps the white one. The darker one brings out the colors of the embroidery, but might draw the eye away from the gorgeous embroidery.

Hi Carolyn when you said you were going to use one of Katulles designs I wondered which you would be using. This is lovely and a most thoughtful present. I'm sure by now you have decided and sewn the finish on the towels.

I think the darker one overwhelms the lightness of the bird design. I'd want the rings to be the focus, not the lace. So I'd use either of the white ones.

Either trim is a winner, Carolyn......they are both elegant and the design is gorgeous........

Sorry - autocorrect took over and I didn't notice it. Should have read "trim should be PREWASHED," (not prepared.) And I should have mentioned to be sure the trim is washable.

Thanks. I'm new to machine embroidery - it's kinda scary! I'm afraid of making a mistake, so I'm checking out as many boards as I can, trying to pick up hints. One of these days, I might have something to post on this board. LOL

Wow.... I see your dilemma. I love them both. Personally, I like the little fringe tassels, but the dark lace is beautiful as well.

Either way, these will be a gorgeous gift!

My suggestion is to see which trim WASHES the best. They are towels, and the trim should be prepared BEFORE sewing onto the towels. If the trim shrinks too much or "runs", it can ruin the towels.

But, personally, I prefer the darker trim. Love the embroidery!

Beautiful, Carolyn! Definitely the Wide lace with the Gold in it - it goes perfectly with the colors you used in your designs - my husband agreed also!

The darker one looks like it has a touch of gold. It compliments the colors in the design and makes it pop!.

It also adds a touch of elegance, and makes it special.

Personally Carolyn I think the white gives it more of an elegance. It's a beautiful design and well done. Guess I'm old fashioned but I always think in white for weddings. Hugs/Lillian

I like the lighter one. It does not distract from the design. You focus on the birds not the lace. Both are nice though...

Beautiful. Did you use variegated thread? I prefer the darker lace as it will also not discolour like the lighter one might over time.
