Maybe some usefull info, if your wash-a-way stabilizer gets wrinkled you can press it out, by using a warm iron and putting paper on the top, don;t let the iron touch the stabilizer.

I sometimes glue pieces of WSS together with a water soluble glue stick to make pieces large enough to hoop...

I do this with my cloth like wss. The sulky plastic type does need the paper on each side. I remember reading with the Sulky you could put pieces touching and when ironed like this, they would melt and fuse. Never tried it.

Yes nice tip I press my offcuts between two sheets of paper the one that you use to iron down your applique then I sew it in lengths with water soluble cotton the last time I did that I got and extra 10 metres of wash away nice way to recycle, most good quilting shops have water soluble cotton.

Hmmm, I don't think I have ever seen water soluble cotton...or heard of it for that matter...I will have to Google that one to see if I can find a link...does JoAnn's sell it??

Not sure don't know JoAnn I always bought it from quilting shops it is much thicker than regular cotton and I have no problem with it in the bobbin.
