Oh what fun you girls had. Pearlie is a very lucky girl to find this machine. Try looking on Youtube I have seen this one made with a clipboard cut to fit hoop.
that looks like an excellent machine. I agree with everyone the t-shirt would probably work for someone. I think I would love to have a 10 needle, less color changes. It is fun to work with someone, glad you that opportunity.
Toogie the gad about. Since you retired you are one busy woman buying fabric bargains, having friends round and testing various pieces of essential machines. A great picture of you . Hopefully you got a shirt embroidered too
Oh Caroline, she is so giving I haven't even told you what she gave me. She sent me home with an applique piece, with extra fabric she had made on her single needle, to make a bag she said. She put 3 tee shirts in my bag to come home and monogram or put designs on. She had just bought some black & white fabric and cut me a yard off of that. And the best present I tried a few times, without success, to nicely refuse without hurting her feelings, was some embroidered quilt squares to make a small quilt or wall hanging. I know how much work it was. She said her deceased husband had embroidered them, as he liked embroidering and she preferred piecing quilt tops/blocks. Then I really didn't feel I should accept them, but she insisted and put them in my bags. Although I appreciated such a beautiful gift, my heart was heavy, because I felt so unworthy........
I will treasure this and plan to strip and finish the top, then quilt it. I will show you when I do.
Toogie you can always make her a wall quilt with them... or a pillow Just a thought
What fun you two had. Bet she could wear the upside down and 4 out of 5 would never notice it WS that way./Lillian
Lillian you are so right. We sent the photo in a text to a mutual friend from the trip, She said it looks good.!-I told Pearlie we could give Kathy the shirt and tell her it was HER monogram!-lol lol
Toogie, glad to see you worked it out, and had a great two days. The shirts look terrific, and really the upside down monogram still looks good.. what will you do with 200 shirts ? Nice to have friends who have similar interests to you, and will both be able to share your experiences in embroideries. I am sure there will be lots more get togethers to have fun, this is what it is all about, and with your many designs I see some wonderful work coming from both of you. Sandra. Sandra.
They are her shirts and she does have a big family. I just wished we lived closer than an hour away.
Oh Toogie- one hour away is not all that bad. My closest sewing bud is an hour and a half away, next one is 3 hours away and third one is 1500 miles away! I do get lonely in the sewing room some times being in here all by myself. Hugs. Nan W
Glad you worked it out and got it up and running.
Even the Shirt with the upside down monogram looks ok.
Looks like she did well getting 200 shirts and looks like lots of hoops as well.
According to couple of the Cuties, she got a good deal. She doesn't have the hat hoop though and I don't know how much it would be.....
Great job on the T's and once you've made a mistake you learn not to do it again. I hope you get to spend many hours together having fun! Love Chris
Yes, especially if she does what I told her....stand on your head and no one will notice the upside down monogram!-lol
Good times and good sewing. She needs congrats on the machine. You both need congrats on the stitching.
Wow - this looks like you are having a lot of fun, the two of you and the one huge Babylock! This amazing - but best of all is the treasure of friendship. Wishing you a Happy Week :-)
Thank you and I'm glad you used the word HUGE with the machine and not me!!!-lol- We did have a ball!
Toogie, you look so great now that you've retired. The stress is gone!
Oh gosh, I've gained so much weight since I broke my leg. Have tried to 'walk' it off but the leg starts hurting....I don't like the bike like I did the treadmill, but they said the bike was better for me.....Thank you for being so sweet....I did get a hair color, that must be it!-lol
You two are glowing! Isn't a Babylock 10 needle a fabulous machine. I wish I could have been more help.
New in the UK £1000 which is about $1248 which in either country is a lot of money
Nice job ladies!! even I have forgotten to rotate the design when I first started... hehe.. After that I always recheck everything before I push start... hehe You did a great job! Suzanne
I guess if you make that mistake once you will hopefully remember it always. She wanted to put her monogram on a bag that was given to her for Christmas. I was a little apprehensive, so we will do it next time. I told her when we are both more sure about ourselves with the machine.
Nice one Toogie you will be looking g for a bigger machine if you continue to Play?...
Oh Carol, she has asked me to buy it from her. To spend that much money,I would have to have a business, but I would rather have a long arm quilter & frame. ...She told me she would buy the frame & long arm machine, if I would come up and quilt her quilts. She said any tops I had made, I could q
quilt mine too. I don't know but I guess I can't ask for better than that. Although she made 31 quilt tops in a year!!!
