you are right, but I suppose there are Cuties that don't know what these little flowers are, In the beginning I didn't know either, but you are right it's fun to see them turn into orange when you click, so up we go and turn those flowers into orange, hugs and * for you too :)
I have noticed this too. I love to give flowers and it lets me know what posts i have already read. Sometimes i am not able to comment if i am on my phone but i do try to give flowers to everyone.
Well said, I know when I first joined I had no idea how the site worked or what the flower symbol was for and was a little shy to ask. This maybe this is the case for many Newbies. So thank you for reminding everyone.
Toogie, I'm not really new here, but, have no info about flowers and this is the first I have heard about watering. I do see when I click on a flower by a name there is an addition to the count and the word thanks comes up. If I click that flower again, nothing happens. I would love to know more about this and maybe others would as well. Thanks, hugs, millie
Hi Millie,
I think clicking on the flowers (means watering the flowers) is to thank someone for commenting on a post. I also think its done to agree with or thank other Cuties, for responding to a post. It is also done to give a show of thanks for a Cuties showing a project. I guess you really don't have to have an excuse to give out flowers or water them (it means the same), just add to their 'number garden.' You are right that you can only click on a flower once. It will turn yellow/orange. Also, it reminds me that I've read or commented on that post when I see it lit up. You will learn as you go along and I want you to feel welcome here on Cute, because you're a Cutie now! You must tell us how long you've been embroidering (put that post in Chat or Personals) and show us some of your work ( embroidery goes in Projects and Sewing goes in Sewing). You will learn and if you don't know something, just ask. There are many Cuties, willing and able to help. I am here too, if you need anything, but there are far more knowledgeable than me. Also, if you see a red number at the INBOX in the top header, it means you have a private message from another Cutie. Here, look, I'll send you one. Again Welcome!-Toogie
Toogie, I think some of the newbies don't know what to do. I even go back after I have given posts flowers, to later comments and water. I like to watch the gardens grow every day. Hope your cold gets better quickly. Sandra.
I know I had to tell my daughter what the flowers were and how they grow. I told her to watch the number by the name change.
Thank you, I have felt better today and actually made something this evening.
HI I always water the garden every day AND if someone is missing flower further down I water their gardens too. Have a great day!!
Great! I too go all the way down watering them all. I sure don't like to be the last to comment, but it doesn't stop me!
Hi Toogie, I agree, and I always click on the flowers especially when there is a 0 next to them. It doesn't take long at all. Love Chris
That's right Chris, it doesn't take long. Hope the wedding plans are coming along fine.
Yes, thanks Toogie the wedding plans have all been organised. It's just a matter of waiting now.
I've got Ophelie's dress to make and finish off Delphi's which was the one pictured.
It's been so unbearably hot here I've not felt like doing anything. I go to the gym, swimming and babysit!
Can't wait for our Autumn to arrive. Love Chris
And we are waiting on Spring!!! Hard to imagine... I suppose if one wanted a certain season all year long, they could just travel from one country, to the next. -lol
I noticed that the other day seems no one is watering these days.
It's so disheartening, especially for the new ones starting out. Maybe they just need reminders, once in a while or the new ones need to understand the meanings of the flowers.
I agree. Flowers go the other way when I come along. They don't last long around me. These I can handle ha
Okay, I'm a gardener.
Anybody who has to do real gardening like you, surely can handle 'clicking' to water!-lol
