as some of you know we have moved to a country town 4 hours west of Sydney , while still in Springwood my husband shut his finger in the car door ,he was taken to hospital and had to have a pit put in the reconnect his snapped bone , the outside was crushed ,there was nothing to stitch it together ,the outside has healed but the Drs say the bone will not mend now , its been a long 8 weeks of hospital visits 3 times a week , well the doctors have said there is no hope he has to have his finger amputated this Friday ,I ask that you please pray for a speedy recovery UPDATE Trevor is on his way back home they took to the first joint on his left pointer so he still has the knuckle ,he chose to have a local antithetic so he did not have to wait 4 hours

UPDATE Trevor is back home the took to his top joint ,he is in a lot of pain ,but hopfully that will ease as it heals

Oh! Monika, I've just seen this post. I am so sorry that your husband has been through so much with this finger. I'm sure once it has been removed he will heal fast. As Meg says humans are resilient beings and I've seen the work that Ray does with only a 'stump'. May God bless you both and I hope you are keeping cool with this heatwave. Love Chris

This is so sad to hear, but once he heals, he will learn to work without it.... When my husband works with saws and needs my help, I am fearful and very cautious, as well. ....Accidents happen so fast....

Goodness, Monika! I'm praying for your darling and for their traveling to and from and for healing. I guess he's ready to get rid of the pain after all of this time.

Oh Monika, I am so sorry that the healing prayers for Trevor didn't work and that it has taken so long, for him to be in pain, before the doctors finally made the decision.
I am sure once it is completely healed, he will learn how to cope very quickly, but will pray that this time it heals completely.

BTW, my Ray has no fingers on his left hand and it amazes me what he can achieve with only one good hand and his "Stumpy", humans really are remarkable. hugs n blessings, m

I hope all goes well for you both. An awful thing to happen but I'm sure he will bounce back & adapt. BTW where did you move to?
