Thank you very much for all the kind birthday wishes. I am sorry this is such a late reply but I have been setting up my new laptop. (A present to myself)

My husband gave me a Bernina 880 for Christmas and Birthday but I am sorry to say it has gone back to the factory for the moment as it already went wrong twice. My dealer(who managed to sort the problem the first time) told me it had to go back so I am still waiting for it to return.
But the machine came with the digitising programme V7 and so I could get a new laptop as my old digitising programme would not run on Windows 10. At last a computer that does not take half an hour to start.
My Birthday was quiet . We went to a charity dinner in London where I felt decidedly young!!!!!! That was a lovely feeling.
Next week we celebrate it with the family.

New machine, new computer, and a little break from stitching. You'll be zooming to "catch up." Congratulations on the new equipment.

How disappointing to have a new machine and not be able to use it. That did happen to me with a Berninia several years ago and to their credit, when the dealer told them I was a repeat customer that she didn't want to lose, they said "Give her a new machine immediately.". Problem solved and a happy sewer!!Hope you have similar results. Sounds like you are making the most of it and will have your computer all set up and ready to go.

I'm glad you had a good day. And what a nice feeling to feel young, even if it was only for a few hours. I hope your dealer replaces the machine and you are stitching up a storm soon.

Lucky you...I think that your dealer should just give you a new Bernina 880 if it has had to go back to the factory in such a short time...it would bother me that a brand new machine had problems that your dealer couldn't fix...I vote you get a new one!

The last bernina I bought was like that. Hubby often kidded me about using it as a boat anchor! Never got the problem resolved. I finally got a Brother DeamMachine. Still have my boat anchor.lol
