Mary on your posts before you were given much great advice which I would suggest that you re read. Ebay has policies in place where if there are problems ones money can be refunded Facebook doesn't. The advice I have given before is the same

If you are looking for a Bernina, our own Vicki (basketkase) was selling hers..not sure if she has sold it yet, but you might PM her and ask...

Mary, I would only spend (lots of) money at a dealer that offered at least a 90 day replacement. I did buy one from an individual -- but drove the 2+ hours to see it in person. It was new, never used and less than $700. If the machine is more money than you can afford to be without for days, months or much longer -- don't buy it online. If you can meet at the dealership AND have the machine checked before you buy it, then you might be safe getting it.
