I have a chance to buy a Brother 2500D, can anyone tell me if they have one how they like it, is it reliable and what year was it out. Does it compare to the Innov 4000? Thanks for any help.

I have the 2800D(the 2500D with added quilting features) and have loved it for about 5 years. It has been a great easy to use machine with 6x10 max hoop size. I also have the 4500D which is also a good reliable machine and gives the 7x12 hoop option. There is very little difference in the actual size of the two machines and except for the largest hoops they use the same hoops which is very convenient.

Thanks for your input. I have a 4000 that I love, this would be a machine I would take with me when we travel

I am not sure about the machine that you have but I have used the other Brother a lot (minus the D designs) The model that you are asking about is a excellent machine but it will not have as many of the bits that the 4000 has. It will be a excellent machine. Are you looking at buying a extra machine or why are you considering buying the 2500D? Do let us know what you decide

I am a brother fan so I would say go for it but do yourself a favour and get it looked at by a professional first that goes for all machine

I don't know the answer, but I have (and love) my Innovis4000D. Hope you get your answer soon.
