I had a customer yesterday that brought her fur coat for me to put the initials on the lining.......first of all she was terrified of the cats and when I turned on my machine, she looked at 21 year old Tux and said "oh, she is hissing at me".....I told her it was my machine booting up....then she asked me if I have had them since they were puppies.....I just told her yes......then she asked if they had fleas that could get on her coat (I felt like scratching all over and saying no...LOL) I told her they are all treated for worms and fleas before coming into our living quarters........Thought this might give some of you a laugh for the day......this pic is Jiffy Jo laying in Graycie's bed.....Grayce was walking the halls howling, so I went to check her out and when I came in my room, Jif turns and looks at me like, "it's mine now"....I got a treat out and she popped out to eat it so Grayce could then get in it.......it's not like we don't have other beds, you know!! Crazy & wonderful animals!!

Thanks, Stella......my machine was stitching when she was asking about the fleas.....as I said below, I would not have done it for her had she not been given my name by one of my best customers......I just hated touching that fur.....have never had one in my hands before and hopefully it is the last time........

The older cats sure love their heated beds, that is why I was so surprised to see Jiffy Jo using it, as she is only 4 yrs old now.....

I am afraid that I am not a lover of real fur. Shame she doesn't know the difference between a dog an a cat. LOL

Can you believe it......I would say she was about 70ish years old.....I wonder if she knows the difference between the birds and bees...LOL!

If I would fit, I would join them on a cold wintry day, I can curl up but I would have to be a contortionist to fit in one of them..

Such a shame she couldn't relax and enjoy the cats. And kudos to you for managing to be civil. Are Jiffy Jo and Grayce on speaking terms yet? You could write a book on your cats and give the world a lot of smiles, laughs and joy.

Love the story and the cat beds. She is in real trouble if she cant tell the difference between and Kittens and Puppy's...
Not a fan of real fur so not sure I would have done the embroidery for her, but I am sure you did an awesome job.
Did you make their beds?

No I didn't Jerri........I don't do regular sewing which is why you don't see many projects from me.....I hesitated doing her coat and she told me she got my name from her cleaners who happens to be one of my best customers, so I felt obligated.....I hated touching it!!

jerrib by jerrib 22 Dec 2016

Never feel obligated to do something you don't want to do.
If an animal dies of natural causes, then yes do something with the fur, but we all know that isn't the case. I love the look of fur, but fake is the way to go for me.

basketkase by basketkase 23 Dec 2016

Me too, Jerri, I have a black fake fur that has different color hearts all over it......it is my fave for dress up.......

Who was the real animal here? The one with her claws out? Merry Christmas kitties - hope you get lots of toys and perks.

For sure......I wanted to say at least all my "furs" are breathing!

Smokey12 by Smokey12 22 Dec 2016
