These are spectacular! I've thought about getting this design, and now you have made my decision for me LOL
Just love these, and everything else you manage to get made, in spite of all your pain/discomfort. Your luncheons may be what your home friends look forward to, but your Cutie friends also enjoy seeing your table set. Great work my friend!
Chris, when I read yr post, I had a giggle! You sound sooooo much like me! haha Beautiful work as always! Hugs!
We won't yell (too loud)...so happy you found a way around your issue!!
Lovely stitching!
Oh Chris, this is wonderful. I can understand you; your head was full of ideas what to do and then the doctor says "No, you are not allowed". But this is extra creative to work standing instead of sitting. That's what they recommend to the office people if their back hurts. Very clever. Wishing you getting better quickly. <3 and Hugs - Maria
Thanks Maria, you said it!! Where there's a will there's a way! Love ❤️ Christine
I love Sweet Pea designs and you've done a very good job. Love them :-)
very nice Chris. There's the thing about Machine Embroidery, one can do it standing if need be! Hope your back is going to be okay by the time your friends come for lunch.xx
You are so right Vicki, and I hope so too. Trying my best to get better! Love Chris
Chris, your ladies luncheon will be beautiful again. I love these, so festive. Please take care of your back. I will keep you on my prayer list. Love and Hugs Lynn
Thanks so much Lynn, I am so looking forward to this luncheon. Haven't seen half of these ladies for most of the year! Love Chris
My best friend is moving house on the 1st December and will only have been in her place for 4 days before having to come up here and it's about a 2 hour drive for her!! Then another 2 back down to her place. I'm going down to see her in the new year, can't wait. The new place is amazing on 5 acres! Love Chris
You are smart finding a way to be still able to enjoy your hobby. Lucky ladies that will be able to attend your luncheon.
Thanks Angie, it's not the most conducive way, but I'm getting there. Love Chris
They are really lovely! And congrats on finding a way to sew without making your physiotherapist angry! Hope you are feeling better soon.
Thank you so much for commenting and I see you are a new Cutie. I'm getting better every day and am looking forward to next Thursday when I'm going to go to a Hydrotherapy pool to do exercises. Doing my daily ones that she has already given me and they are helping immensely!
Once again a big Aussie welcome from me, love Chris, Newcastle, Australia.
Beautiful Chris! I have always said if you want to, you'll find a way. Just try not to do anything that will impede your healing/ Hugs! Lillian
Thanks so much dear Miss Lillian, I'm doing these at a snail's pace!!! He he he and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving love Chris
I have a lovely set of drawers in my sewing room that I would put my embroidery machine on if I couldn't sit at it.
Have you tried that, raising the height of your machine by putting it somewhere else?? :-)
Lovely work, as usual, and don't do them all at once. We want you upright and well for the luncheon with the ladies and Christmas with the family.
Good morning Pat, thanks for the hint. I have a sewing table that is higher than where the Husqvarna usually sits. I haven't tried it yet. A few of you have suggested raising the machine, but I can stand with this design as it only takes about 30 minutes to make. I've nearly finished them. Love Chris
Were there`s a will there`s a way, as we say ! I`d do the same thing as you Chris, lovely work as usual , pray for a speedy recovery,, hugs Trish
Lovely work Chris. Hugs
Thanks so much Shirley, thinking of you this weekend and Monday, love Chris
Now, are you going to tell Santa that you were naughty or nice? I vote for nice! These napkins are wonderful and worth every bit of pain that they might cost you!
Thanks Penny, but they are not napkins, they are Cutlery holders, Knife, fork and dessertspoon! Love Chris
I haven't had the best year with my health issues, so I hope he will be kind to me!
Oh gosh! I missed reading that little link at the bottom! I'm collecting cultery holders at the moment, so thanks for the link!
You are a fabulous gal and I'm sure Santa will put you on his verynice/special/fabulous person list.
Well, I was going to scold you, but since you made these standing and they are so beautiful...I can't!
Beautiful work. Years ago after a whiplash injury my Chiropractor gave me a weigh that hangs from the shoulders. I had to sit all day at work which is why he recommended it. Then I saw it at JoAnn's in the notions department. They still have it. You may want to ask your therapist about using something like this. http://www.joann.com/body-rite-po...
I'm ahead of you there! I already have a back support on my chair and a bicycle shaped cushion. Either of them don't do much, but I'll try anything! Thanks for commenting and giving me the link, love Chris
They are beautiful Chris. Can't wait to see your table all set up for your Luncheon. I bet the ladies are anxious to see all what you have created for them this year.
Hugs
Thanks Jerri, yes, they wait with bated breath. Except Meganne has already seen them on here when I posted the whole lot! Love Chris
These are gorgeous cutlery holders. I'm so glad you have found a way to do what you love without further injuring yourself. You go girl.
Well done! You might just have to get a stand alone embroidery machine or have someone make you a embroidery machine riser!
Well done! I knew you would figure out a way to embroider :)
They are lovely and those ITH designs let you make a lot with perfect placement without the hassle.
These are beautiful. Christmas colors are sew pretty, love!
I knew as soon as I read that suggestion you would do it! Yeah!Very nice holiday holders.
Thanks Chris, yes, they will fit in with all the Holly theme I have this year for my ladies luncheon. My Christmas table will look beautiful. Love Chris
These are very pretty Chris. They would be a lively addition to my table this year as well, with the holly design. Small projects like this are quick to complete, so as long as you pace yourself, you should be fine.
Thanks, yes and they are so easy to do. I hope you get a chance to make some, if you buy the design. Love Chris
These are beautiful. I love how perfect the design matches from one to the next. Your lunch ladies will love them. Just please be careful and don't hurt yourself. .
Thanks Smokey. Yes the design is fabulous and I'm being very careful. ❤️ Chris
I knew you wouldn't be able to stay away from it. Lol!!!
Please be careful.
These are lovely!!
Funny! I wondered what you were going to do about your luncheon.
What do they say? "You can't keep a good woman down". Where there's a will, there's a way. The luncheon is still on Didi, it's on the 12th December and would you believe the weekend before my luncheon I'm at the Newcastle Synod, so Trev will have to set up the back room with the table and chairs etc. I'm decorating the house this weekend as its the first week of Advent and the official time to put up your Christmas tree and decorations. Can't wait just love ❤️ Christmas, love ❤️ Chris
Please be careful... These are really pretty...
Lovely work Chris. I too stand to sew (some of the time) and if your machine is on a higher surface it makes it so much easier
I was thinking of all of you ladies whilst making these Caroline and how some suggested I stand. Lucky our machines have a push button to start. I'm being careful. ❤️ Chris
