When I bought my first embroidery machine, I bought a lot of very cheap threads from Ebay. At last I have found a use for some of them! The tape measure has Chinese measurements so I haven't found that very useful either!

Now I call that putting the "noggin" to good use. Great idea!/Lillian

I don't think your brain takes much of a rest at all -very impressive! Is an inch not an inch, or a centimetre not that size either on that particular tape measure? I'd never think to check mine -maybe I should :)

The Chinese Inch (市寸) is 1.31 imperial inches. Very flattering to measure your vital statistics with, but not very helpful! The tape has real centimetres on the back.

Clever idea to recycle, now just in case you can use any of this it is on show. A place to put other unused small items for just in case. Sandra.

Great idea and it looks just the thing for a sewing cave. I remember you showed that measuring tape ages ago, nice second life for it.

Looks fantastic! Now whenever you find a misc button or a cracked bobbin that you have no other use for, you can add them to the wreath. talk about recycling, this was a great re-purposing of items that did not make the cut to become one of your favorite tools of your craft room and now instead the wreath will be seen and appreciated every time you enter your sewing room. Thank You for sharing it with us. Pam

What a clever use of those threads. What did you use for a base? Hugs. Nan W
