I am after some gift idea for boys, my nephews are not into any particular sports or interests so I am stumped for present ideas. One is 11 and the other is 17. I am happy to make them something, but I am fresh out of ideas. A quilt is not an option for them as it will not be cared for properly given past experiences. I would love to hear if any of you have ideas I could borrow

I would think that both boys could make great use of a duffel bag - maybe add a personal touch with embroidery......

My 10 year old likes the towels with his gamer tag (His user name for video games) on them for the bathroom, PJ pants, Hoodies with pockets and the clear zippered pouch I made for some school supplies (it's a laptop sleeve pattern made with clear vinyl and no lining)

How about several scatter/decorative pillows in the shape of @ and # or embroider one of these large symbols on a square one...I know boys like crazy pillows and some just haven't been introduced to them!

Boys are tough. How about a gift card in a cute holder you make. These turn out really cute and make a nice ornament for the tree. Hugs. Nan W

How about PJ bottoms or wallets.

I like these ideas. Thank you I hadn't even considered pj bottoms. I have a pattern just for that too in both sizes for the boys

The only thing I can think of is a pillow, boys that age seem to only eat and sleep. So if your into sewing make them a quillow.

Bath towel with their name on it .Pillow or cushion with a design that relates to something that they are interested in.
I always ask the grandmother of the boys in our family what they need & she usually comes up with good ideas

If the 17 year old is driving or about to drive, I would make some kind of zippered organizer for the car. Is he going to college - maybe something in the school colors. Does he have a career in mind yet? Something related to that.

Thank you. Good idea for the car. He doesn't drive yet but he and his dad are fixing up an old car for him.

I would ask them and their parent with the right to make your own choice for what you are capable of doing. They might need something to carry their electronics in with a monogram.

Hoodies are often a good gift at least in my area of the world. If they have a favorite color, that would help. Their style of clothes could help you choose a design to personalize the gift.
Good luck! It can be quite difficult to give the "right gift" to any teen.
